Working at a historic old dairy farm today on west Sumter street. (Cedar Crest Dairy) We will be removing a tree growing inside an 1800’s silo! Also clearing with a mini excavator to help restore an old dairy barn complete with stanchions for the cows. I can’t wait to get started!😀

Opportunity lost
In that spot
A native tree
Would have outlived it
By a lot
What were landscapers thinking
When they planted them?
They were not.

Please protect and enjoy the yellow Jessamine, our SCatolina state flower😀

Some are benign
Like our South Carolina State Flower
The yellow Jessamine
Like the trumpet vine with
It’s pretty orange flowers
Along with many others
You could protect like brothers
There are vines that give us wine
Like wild and domestic grapes
To our trees,
Others are not so swell
And wear a black cape
Maybe from hell.
English Ivy,
Chinese Wisteria
Beautiful to many
Yet if left alone
Are still invasive
They can kill our trees
Like a tree killing drone.
If you value our trees
Please remove
Vines like these.
