The UNA English Department Film club screens and discusses films twice a month.

Our first film for spring 2026 will be Casablanca (Michael Curtiz, 1942). UNA students are invited to join us for a free screening in Cramer Way 202 on Thursday, 2/5, at 6pm.

This is a reminder that we will screen Sin City (2005) at 6pm on Thursday, 4/17. Please join us for this free screening in Cramer Way 202 on the UNA campus. You should use the north door (opposite Collier Library) to enter the building.

The Film Club screening for May will be The Hunger Games (2012). The screening will be at 6pm on 5/1 (a change from our originally scheduled date) in Cramer Way 202 on the UNA campus. Screenings are free and open to the public.

We'll have our next Film Club meeting next Thursday, 1/23, at 6pm. We will screen the neo-noir L.A. Confidential (1997) at 6pm in room 202 of Cramer Way (601 Cramer Way) on the UNA campus.

We'll have our next event on Friday, 11/22, at 7pm with a showing of The Big Lebowski at the Shoals Theatre. Feel free to join us in the lobby after the show to meet for a short discussion. One or more of our organizers will be wearing UNA purple so you can locate us. Please message with any questions.

Our first event will be on Friday, 10/25, with a visit to the Shoals Theatre for a screening of Scream. The show starts at 7pm and tickets are $5. We'll meet in the lobby after the show for a short discussion of the film. Please email Professor Wardell with any questions at [email protected]
