Becky! What a fun week this one was. She was a few firsts for me! She was my first friend that I have worked with, my first parent of a past student, my first adult adhd program, and she lives in Alaska, so my first time there 😊
This is true for all potential students. The earlier you take the program, the less emotional layers that get added to your learning abilities.
It was an emotional week for both of us as we watched some of the burdens of everyday life shift and become manageable.
I often have parents tell me "well, I'm through school" "I don't think it would be beneficial" "I'm too old" I'm here to remind you, 1, you're never too old to prioritize yourself. 2, you'll never stop seeing letters, so this program can be beneficial for your whole life. 3, these tools do not have an age limit. If you struggle with: learning, reading, instructions, comprehension, anything, just know there is help for that!(and so much more)
Oh yeah, congrats, Becky, for completing the program😁

Mircea! As some of you may know, she is my niece! So I have some things to share😊 Several years ago, she completed the reading program (from the same facilitator that gave me the gift of the Reading Program🥹). When I got licensed, I was talking with Mircea about how some of the things that the reading program didn't minimize in her life and how the ADD/ADHD program could be helpful for her. After several months of talking/texting/calling about the things that could be effected by the program, here she sat across from me allowing me to help her.
Her program was a success, and before she made it home I was already receiving a call about the changes that had been noticed by her parents.
This program is so very personal to me and affects so much of my life. I love it when I get to share it across the table 💙

Russell, Congrats on completing the program! He was determined and achieved his goals within our week. One of my favorite things about what I do is how much I learn from my clients; the knowledge that his dyslexic brain knows is amazing.

Congratulations, Annelise, for completing the ADD/ADHD program! She set realistic goals that she wanted to achieve in our week together and was able to use her tools to get them done. Awesome job!

Way to go, Smith!! He had goals that were achieved by Wednesday! I am amazed, every single week, by the progress that can be made in these 5 days.

Congratulations, Addison!
Addison set lots of goals and met those goals. She was able to take control and maintain control throughout the program and made lots of progress in our week together.

What an awesome week you had, Will! When I would show up, he was asking lots of questions and could hardly contain his excitement. When it was time for his program, that excitement never went away. He was so eager each day, asking questions and very willing. He was to grade level reading by Wednesday morning and we finished the week with some happy tears😊

Congratulations, Kate! What an enjoyable week with her. Kate was deliberate with her models and with the details. She took her time with each step which made my job easy when it came to introducing the next step. One of her main goals was reading comprehension, she achieved that early in the week which meant she had more time for other details.

Recently, I had a student and I asked what she wanted to do next, "read or do another clay word?" She asked if we could go clean in her room again instead! Her parents and I found this quite exciting because, before that morning, she had never cleaned her room on her own and now she was asking to clean. Here is her bag with everything in its proper place😊

I recently saw a quote that said something along the lines of "teaching being difficult". In a public school setting, that might be correct. In a place where you can't give each student the one on one attention that they might need, that may be correct. When you're using methods that work FOR your students, by giving them tools on how to be taught, how to know when they are no longer able to retain the information that they are givin, it is so easy and so rewarding. By teaching in a fashion that doesn't force the teacher to push their students. Rather, teaching in a language that the students understand and allowing the students to tell you when they have hit a learning limit, allows learning to be enjoyable and is not a painful experience!
