2016 - In the springtime we started filming the first episode of our web series 'Regular Dudes'. It was the first major production that we did as Flint Rat Films. It tells the story of former childhood best friends Jeff and Cody reconnecting after many as Jeff discovers that Cody has been secretly squatting in his house.

We learned a lot of lessons making this. Chief among them: it is probably best if everyone on the cast and crew isn't constantly drinking whiskey between each take. Or if you must, at least get something better than black velvet.

Re-watching it now, it still gets a few good laughs from me, though I did forget just how dark this episode was (the Cody character is a psychopath basically the entire time).

Kevin's camera work is really excellent as is Dominique's editing. Keith's moody cover of "Pump up the jam" is still just as incredible and "Welcome to Jonestown" by The Sunburns is a killer needle drop for the end.

Since we had a couple people ask; the Flint Rat Instagram is gone because Facebook permanently banned it claiming that we violated TOS selling drugs, which we did not do (not that cool).

They also blocked recommendations of posts from this page as well for different, equally nebulous reasons.

Before we started actual principal photography for Co***ne Stepdad, we tried to get into character by going to outdoor public events as Terry and Kyle.

We ended going to a free weird festival put on by mountain dew in Hell Michigan to promote their short-lived Flaming Hot Mountain Dew. (Pauly D did a DJ set)

We found out it was really hard to get footage in front of large groups when you're running around like two loud buffoons, because everyone will just stare at you and be afraid.

Dylan had later described his experience to me as ego death.

Anyway we didn't end up using any of the footage in the movie.
