This 5-year-old fluffy orange tabby is a BIG boy with the softest fur, the fluffiest tail, and a personality that is just as big as he is.

Ginger can be a little nervous and spicy when you first meet him. But once he decides you're trustworthy, prepare yourself—because this boy wants ALL the attention. 😻
He'll follow you around the house, talk to you, reach up for pets, enjoy his catnip kicker toys, and happily accept snacks. And when he's done socializing? You may find him sprawled out on his bed looking like he worked a full 12-hour shift. 😂

Ginger is looking for a quiet, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace and be completely spoiled. He'd do best with older, considerate children and needs to be the only pet in the home.

He does have some special care needs, including specialized food for urinary health and a supplement to support his hips and bones. But what Ginger really needs most is someone willing to give him patience, understanding, love, attention, and plenty of toys.

And we're pretty sure once he settles in, this spicy little guy is going to be one seriously devoted cuddlebug. 🧡

Meet three handsome boys who are ready for their fresh start:

🐾 MAX ATHENS — 7 years old, 92 lbs
This gentle giant is friendly, affectionate, house-trained, crate-trained, great with kids, and gets along with other dogs. Max can be a little shy at first, but give him some patience and kindness and you'll have a loyal companion by your side.

🐾 SUNDANCE ATHENS — 2 years old, 45 lbs
Sweet, goofy, playful, and affectionate! Sundance loves people and absolutely LOVES other dogs. He'd likely be happiest with a playful canine friend to keep him company.

🐾 AZUL ATHENS — 2 years old, 80 lbs
A big, goofy boy with an even BIGGER personality! Azul loves toys, playing fetch, other dogs, people, kids, and even cats. He's ready to bring plenty of laughs, love, and tail wags to his forever family. 🥹

All three are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to find their people.
They've already making their way to New Jersey. Now they just need someone to look past the blurry pictures and see the high-quality best friend waiting to meet them. 😂❤️

Meet our August Dog of the Month: GERARD! 🖤

Gerard is an adorable 3 year old
43-pound sweetheart who was rescued from Georgia and is ready to find a family of his own. With his happy-go-lucky personality and friendly nature, Gerard is the kind of dog who makes friends wherever he goes!

This handsome boy loves the simple things in life. Long walks, tasty treats, and tennis balls! 🍪🎾👟 Whether he's proudly carrying a ball around the yard or chasing after one in a game of fetch, Gerard is always ready for some fun. He's also a smart boy who already knows how to sit and is eager to earn a few extra treats for showing off his good manners.

Gerard gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys meeting new people. 🐶 He walks nicely on leash, making him a great companion for neighborhood strolls, hikes, or weekend adventures! Look how happy he was to get out on an adventure with one of his kennel volunteer friends. 🥾

This sweet 10-lb. Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix may be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, you’ll see the gentle, affectionate boy underneath. 🥹

Lima came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation and was one of around 40 dogs dumped from a truck in the middle of the night. He’s spent the last several months learning that people can be kind and that the world doesn’t have to be scary.

He’s still figuring things out, but he LOVES the company of other dogs and would do best with a confident, friendly canine companion to help show him the ropes. 🐶❤️

Meet Chaplin NJ! At 15 years young and just 9.5 lbs., this little Chihuahua mix has somehow found himself living the BIG life with his foster family — including 3 Golden Retrievers AND 5 cats! And guess what? He gets along wonderfully with all of them. 🥹❤️

Chaplin has been through more than any senior pup should. After being adopted 10 years ago, he spent 9 happy years with his family before losing his mom and, eventually, his dad losing his home and facing health struggles.

Now Chaplin is looking for the place he can finally call home for good. 🏡

She may be the smallest of her siblings, but Juice Box would like everyone to know that size is just a suggestion. 😌

This tiny tuxedo girl is confident, curious, adventurous, and absolutely convinced she needs to be involved in EVERYTHING. New room? She’s there. New toy? Already investigating. Somewhere she probably shouldn’t be? 👀 You know she’s first.
But behind all that tiny-tornado energy is the sweetest little snuggler. Juice Box was the first of her siblings to seek out her foster parents for comfort, and when she’s ready to recharge, she knows exactly where to go. A lap, a shoulder, a cozy spot beside you on the couch… basically, wherever her people are. 🥹

And then there’s her face. 😂🧃

Juice Box takes mealtime VERY seriously, which has resulted in her signature orange-stained little face. We think it just adds to her charm.

Juice Box would love a home with another playful kitty—or even better, one of her siblings! She needs a buddy to wrestle, chase, explore, and get into a little trouble with. 💕

❤️ After surviving the streets of Albania and waiting THREE YEARS in a shelter, Kuqo is finally in New Jersey—and he’s still waiting for his person.

Meet Kuqo Albania 🇦🇱🐾

At 8 years old and 45 pounds, this handsome Shepherd mix has already endured more than any dog should have to.

For years, Kuqo survived the streets of Albania, where every day brought new dangers. Eventually, he was brought to a shelter, where he waited patiently for THREE YEARS for someone to choose him.

Nobody did.

Until we came along. ❤️

Kuqo made the incredible journey from Albania to New Jersey for one reason: to finally find the family he has been waiting for.

And if you meet him, you'll wonder how anyone could have passed him by.

Kuqo is one of the sweetest, gentlest souls. His favorite way to ask for affection is to softly place his paw on your leg, as if he's saying, “Will you pet me?” 🥹

He LOVES people and is wonderful with adults and kids. He's also great with other dogs and has discovered how much fun it is to play with his canine foster siblings! 🐶❤️

🐱 Cats aren't his thing, so he needs a cat-free home.

Kuqo is fully house-trained, walks wonderfully on leash, and has settled beautifully into his foster home. He's even overcome the separation anxiety he initially experienced after leaving the shelter.

And this senior boy is SMART! 🧠 He knows sit, down, stay, paw, touch, and up and genuinely enjoys learning.

Kuqo would love a patient family who will keep his mind and body active with walks, enrichment, continued training, and outdoor adventures. He does have some lingering anxiety after all the transitions he's experienced, so understanding adopters will be important.

After years of surviving on the streets and three more years waiting in a shelter, Kuqo deserves to finally know what it feels like to be someone's beloved dog.

💙 PUPdate: Roy is officially KOBE! 🐾

Remember Roy? Well, this sweet boy has a new name, a new fur brother, and a whole new life to love! 🥹🏡

Kobe is settling in beautifully with his fur brother, Chase, and his new family says he is already right at home. 💕

He recently had his first vet visit wearing a brand-new bowtie 🎀 and, according to his adopter, he “did a wonderful job.” And because every good boy deserves a reward, Kobe got his very first pup cup after being so brave for his shot! 🍦🐶

And his adventures are already beginning! His adopter shared:
💙 “He has been enjoying daily walks and has already met several human and dog neighbors along the way.”

Sounds like Kobe is already making himself quite the local celebrity! 🐾😎

But perhaps our favorite update of all?
“He is truly loved and very happy.” 🥹❤️
