Thank you for the bikes! Already rackin up the miles and memories!

The Brick Bike Collective is geared toward helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need.

The public donates used bikes, we clean and refurbish them, and then we give them to underserved families. https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_donations&business=KDB8NLC4CBLSL&item_name=Bicycles+for+underserved+children¤cy_code=USD

I've always wanted one of these Penny Farthing bicycles. Now I'm not sure that I would even attempt to ride one.

Giving back is as good for you as it is for those you are helping, because giving gives you purpose. When you have a purpose-driven life, you’re a happier person — Goldie Hawn

My favorite (and only known in existence) Goldie Hawn quote.

There is so much truth in her statement though, the feeling that we get when you see someones reaction from getting a bike from us, or a mother tearing up because we were able to help her family out with Christmas or birthday gifts. So many scenarios but all produce the same feeling in our gut and can lead to a tear in our eyes also.

We can still use as many bikes as we can get this week as we still have many families and church organizations asking for our help.
Please call or text Larry or Joe at 636.633.2154

Thank you to all of you that have donated to us to enable us to carry out this mission, you are the hero's!

LIFE GETS EASIER WITH A BIKE -
We aim to increase the independence and mobility of people who can most benefit from receiving a bicycle, but struggle to gain access to one. By re-cycling and refurbishing the donated bikes in our Festus, MO workshop and distributing them to where they are needed, we enhance and extend the value of the bikes.
Everyone should be able to get on a bike to cross distances for their daily commute, for going to school or for visiting a family member. Bikes provide you with free, green and healthy transport.
We don’t want to be seen as charity - We want to be seen as difference makers. We want to give a rod instead of a fish. We believe the bike is our rod and by making people more mobile they get better opportunities, independence and freedom. Please help support us in fulfilling this mission.
In order to support our projects, we also offer a select number of bikes for sale and the proceeds go to helping fund the costs of bike repairs &, parts.

OUR MISSION
Giving local foster kids and underprivileged youth the freedom and joy of a bicycle.

Many foster children enter care with the clothes on their back and little else. While meeting basic needs is imperative, so is helping kids feel loved, accepted and capable. A bike is a gift that offers physical activity, the opportunity to meet and play with friends and even transportation to school or an after school job.

------
If you know of any children or younf adults that would benefit from our program please put their care-givers in touch with us and we can set them up with a bike. We have a few that are ready to go now. Call or text 636.633.2154 or leave a message on this page! Thanks!

It's that time of year again!

Last year we were able to donate 71 bicycles to underserved children and adults in the Twin City area. It's time to start collecting again for our year end bike drive.

We Collect
We Repair
We Donate

We Thank You for your support!

Did you know: Every year 25 million bikes are sold in the US. One-third of those bikes are 20” wheel-size, or smaller. Since kids grow like weeds, over 8 million bikes are virtually outgrown each year. Endless supply. Sustainability. We want to keep these bikes out of landfills and recycle them and giver them away to those in need.

And they have been Lysol'ed!! ;)
The Dyno Mountain Bike is Adult Sized.

04/07/2020

We hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented time. We have temporaily closed our restaurant for a few weeks and wanted to let you all know that we will be putting a few bikes bikes on our driveway from time to time (as we can get them ready) on our driveway for anyone that has a child that needs a bike to burn off some energy while taking a break from home schooling etc. The bikes have been wiped down with Lysol and we suggest that you wipe them down again before touching them as a precaution. The red circle marks the spot! Some of the bikes may need a little TLC. Together we will all get through this COVID 19 madness! Keep doing your part to flatten the curve!
