🌞Ruled by the sun and the sign of leo in medical astrology. Motherwort is one of the best nervines for anxiety or tension in the heart.

❤️She tonifies and strengthens the physical and emotional heart. Her prabhava or special potency is in supporting us through harder emotions like anger or grief. Her bitterness moves stagnation in the liver and support women during their menopausal years.

🌿Sometimes when I have difficult conversations I like to hold her leaves close to my chest or in my palm.

I'd be lying if I said owning a business was all rainbows and butterflies. 🦋

It's a lot of little details done well: understanding the needs of the people we serve, creating, staining, cleaning, prepping, formulating, collaborating, connecting, troubleshooting, ordering, promoting, and social media-ing.

The roots of my business developed over 10 years of studying yoga, consciousness, and holistic herbalism, while learning through trial and error in small business endeavors that weren't quite right.

When I opened Cosmic Roots as a brick-and-mortar in Ferndale, MI, I had 9 days to get everything together. In other words, I dove in headfirst.

The reason?🌺

What I do know is that our community needs spaces that honor and remember plants as part of our daily rituals. A place that provides access to organic, high-quality herbs, as well as education on using them in a holistic way. An evening space that invites community and socialization while supporting our nervous systems.

How do I know?🌼

I have been seeking it for a long time, and that's why I do what I do. Plus, the feedback I'm receiving from customers has been overwhelmingly positive.

I deeply appreciate everyone who supports Cosmic Roots, as well as all of those who are yet to come. I honor the plants that offer themselves to us again and again as teachers, guides, and allies.

These are a few of my faces as a businesswoman getting established in the daily grind it takes to make this possible. (There are some not-so-hot faces that my loved ones know much better.)🙃

Really, I just want to create, connect, help you find the right plants, and vibe on kava. But I wouldn't trade even the most trying moments for the world.
This has been my dream for a long time, and I am so grateful for this opportunity and this season of life. 🙏🌿✨️
