“We enjoyed a fantastic weekend! Our weekend included hours of strolling in and out of shops on Main Street, the perfect furniture find at Vintage Antique Shack - Farmville, drinks at Three Roads Brewing - FARM, lunch at The Brew House Farmville, and dinner at
Bandidos. After a restful night of sleep at the lovely Hotel Weyanoke, we walked a few miles on the High Bridge Trail State Park and enjoyed lunch at Charley's Waterfront Cafe before heading home. Oh yes, we also picked out the most beautiful house plants at B & M Greenhouse, Inc.. Thank you again for providing this prize which allowed us to get away for the weekend! Farmville is beautiful and we will definitely be back!”

Encore azaleas bloom spring and late summer,giving two seasons of color. Regular azalea varieties seem to bloom well in shady locations , but not Encore azaleas. Encores seem to produce more blooms with a minimum of 6 hours, full sun.

Kids love Venus fly traps! They love the humidity that summer brings. We suggest keeping them outside with partial sun sitting inside a large saucer without a drainage hole. Keep it filled with with either rain water or distilled water so they never go dry.

Whale’s fin and Yellowstone Sansevieria are slow growing, easy to care for, houseplants. They can go for weeks in between watering, and are noted for their beneficial air purifying qualities.

We finally have a few Streptocarpus ( Cape Primrose) in the greenhouse. Cousins to the African Violet they enjoy dappled light ( East or North facing window) and moderate to cool temperatures ( they dislike hot temperatures).These beauties can bloom continuously in the home.

Cryptanthus are members of the bromeliad family and need bright indirect light in the house. Allow the soil to dry inbetween watering. One of our favorite, easy to grow, house plants.
