A young woman lost her life the summer of 2005 when she was killed by vehicles
drag racing on Farmington City Streets. This incident prompted Mr.
Kerry Meier,
director of the San Juan College Automotive Technology Program,
Ms. Joyce Donald, CEO of the Better Business Bureau, and County Commissioner
Dr. James Henderson to approach County. officials about the idea of constructing a Drag Strip.
