"On November 6th, I will be running in the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon, both as a personal challenge and as a way to help raise funding for PALS. In my time working in healthcare settings in New York, especially during the COVID pandemic, I have seen firsthand how transportation can be a significant barrier to accessing proper medical care and follow-up for many of the most vulnerable patients. I am very happy to be running in support of PALS and its mission to reduce this barrier and allow patients to access the critical care they need.
I'm a Cleveland native living in NYC now, and I'll be running my first marathon. This year I will be running along side my mom (to the left in the photo)." Please support his efforts today and make a donation.

"I chose PALS SkyHope as my marathon team charity, because as a first responder, it's important to me that people receive care when they need it, especially those that cannot afford it. This will be my first marathon. I have a wife and 2 kids, an 8 year old daughter and a 1-year-old son. I started running to lose weight, after losing 65 lbs I continue to run for the health benefits and because it makes me feel accomplished."
Please support his efforts and help get Lukasz to the marathon and donate today!

A big thank you to our friends at Fisher House Foundation and Military Times for the inspiring event and generous grant! Weβre looking forward to helping even more veterans get to the care and retreats they need.

"PALS helped me get to a veterans camp in Georgia Southern Ground. I am an active duty special forces operator for the last 18 years and love and support everything the organization stands behind.
I have been deployed over 11 times to combat operations all over the world. I live my life for the United States and the freedom it stands for. I am an 18B Special Forces Weapons Sergeant and a member of the 5th Special Forces Group and earned my Green Beret in 2009. I met my beautiful wife in Afghanistan and we have one beautiful daughter and a son on the way. I ran my first marathon in North Afghanistan in 2011 and was blessed to run my next on in Boston in 2016. Since then, my wife and I enjoy running when we get the chance. COVID had hit us both pretty hard this last year and this will be my first opportunity to get back out there and raise money and support the foundation I believe in." " I chose to run for PALS SkyHope because I love aviation and this seems like the perfect charity for me to support and build awareness! In 2015, I weighed 305 pounds. I began to lose weight in 2016 and started running in 2018. My first marathon was on April 17, 2021 and I finished it in 4:29:30. My second marathon was on October 17, 2021 in Detroit and I was 3:53:10. I'm hoping for 3:40 in New York." Please support his efforts and make a donation today.

Liz shared βI come from a family of pilots. As a family, we have been dedicated to helping sick patients with needed transportation. Being a kidney donor and a sibling of heart transplant patient, I know how important it is to have family with you during life and death situations/surgeries.
This will be my 19th marathon. I ran my first marathon at age 40. Initially it was a personal challenge but then became a passion and absolute love of the sport. Suddenly, at the age of 46, I developed a heart issue. At first, I was told it was really nothing and just live life as I normal do. However, that was not the case. The next few years I lived life day by day. Heart arrhythmias in the 200's, paddled back to life 3 times, 5 cardiac ablations and now live with a pace maker/defibrillator and diagnosed with of ARVC-a dangerous heart condition. I was told I could never run again, never mind a marathon. I refused to believe this and give up something that means so much to me. Something that is a part of me, something that defines me...marathon running. So I run this marathon, 51st NYC Marathon, to redefine myself and get my life back!β
Lindsey shared β This is my 2nd Marathon and my second time running for PALS SkyHope Marathon Team! Our family has always been aviation enthusiasts. My grandfather and father are both pilots and involved in leadership at the Westerly Airport assoc. My grandfather used to do charitable medical related flights himself with his twin Comanchee. I am honored to build awareness for this incredible charity and want to hit a combined goal of more than $20k for 2021 & 2022.β

"This is my second time running on the PALS NYC Marathon Team! I chose PALS because I have a personal connection having been a patient advocate for my father when he was alive.
This cause is very near & dear to my heart, as I have personally gone through the struggle of seeking assistance in coordinating the care for my father Michael O'Sullivan. My father worked for The NYC Department of Sanitation for 26 years. When 9/11 occurred, he was at ground zero the night-of, and three consecutive months thereafter working extended shifts as a part of the clean-up effort. In 2014 he was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease/ pulmonary fibrosis secondary to 9/11. He has since passed away in 2016. Last year was the first marathon I ran with my brother in his honor and for PALS."
