Sending Warm Winter Wishes ❄️⛄❄️⛄❄️
We do love seeing your smiles!! But we ask that you kindly wear a mask while in our office (If you do not have one one will be provided for you).
And just like that, summer fell into fall...
We hope this finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming routine dental visits and consultations on May 5th. Our reopening will be slow and measured to meet the social distancing and occupancy recommendations put forth by the state. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health.
As a top priority, our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each new recommendation.
You may see some changes when it is time for your child’s next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
You will be asked to read and answer the COVID-19 screening form for your family upon arrival.
We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter and leave the office.
If possible, please have you and your child wear a mask.
Social distancing seating has been made available in our building. However, if you prefer to remain in your vehicle until your appointment time, please call the office: 701-232-1148 and let us know you’re “here”.
For all appointments, please limit one parent to accompany the patient. No siblings unless they are scheduled for care as well.
We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
Initially, our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, video gaming and toys since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
For routine checkups, direct discussion with Dr. Trout will be limited, but always available upon request or via phone.
A temperature will be taken on all patients when they are escorted from the waiting room.
Thank you for being our patients. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you and your child safe in our practice.
Dr. Trout and Team
At the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the National Government, we have temporarily closed our dental office to help prevent the possible spread of the
COVID-19/Coronavirus in our community.
Our office will closely monitor the situation in the FM area and keep all families informed on when regular clinic services will resume. The American Dental Association is recommending a 3-week suspension; however the fluidity of this situation may change recommendations. If your child has a scheduled appointment during this time, our office team will contact you to reschedule to a later date.
If you are a patient of record and need emergency dental services, please call our office at (701) 232-1148 and you will be able to reach Dr Trout or a member of our team. We will triage dental concerns and schedule an emergency appointment as needed.
As the situation changes in our region we will use this information from state and local health departments to make the best decisions regarding opening the clinic for routine dental treatment. We hope this interruption is brief and look forward to seeing your kids soon. Thank you for your trust and understanding during these difficult times.

The staff at Dr Trout's Pediatric Dental Clinic are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients and families. As such, we are closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19/coronavirus situation in North Dakota and our surrounding region.
Currently, we are open to provide dental care for your children. We wanted to share with you some of the additional steps we are taking to protect the kids, parents and our staff.
First, we are prescreening all staff members for potential exposure and illness or symptoms every morning before clinic begins.
We ask you do the same before appointments by asking yourself the following questions:
Are you and your child feeling well today? If you or a family member have flu-like symptoms including fever, cough, sore throat and/or shortness of breath, please reschedule for the protection of others and seek the appropriate care.
Additionally, we will take the temperature of all patients prior to beginning any direct patient care and provide guidance as needed.
Finally, we will be increasing our cleaning efforts in the waiting room and bathrooms throughout the day to reduce contact risk.
As the situation changes in our region, we will use the information form the state and local health departments to make the best decision for patient safety. We recognize that these are unsettling times, but together we will overcome this challenge. Thank you for your trust in us and for allowing us to provide dental care for your child.
