Had a great time networking and meeting other professionals of color in the Fargo/Moorhead community. Thank you Life Care Unites Foundation for capturing this moment and big thanks to FMWF Chamber Professionals of Color for putting on such a wonderful event.

We are so excited that Life Care Unites Foundation is putting on a Community Partner event at the Arbors next Wednesday, July 20th!

The event is open to the public and we would love for everyone to join us!

I will be there photographing all the fun!
The 8th and final organization I am promoting for Giving Hearts Day is Life Care Unites Foundation. Life Care Unites Foundation became an official 501(c)3 organization in January 2021. This group, run Katrina and Jeremy, was an accidental bump into. It was a good accident though, which opened my eyes to volunteering again. To be honest, I don’t volunteer as much as I should. With my wife in medical school, and four kiddos, I rarely have time to use the restroom it seems. But when I bumped into these two on social media, they invited me to wrap gifts before Christmas at their organization! It was so fun, and honestly, Jeremey is just as much of a Marvel freak as me, so it clicked! They are down to earth and, as they say, make a difference one neighborhood at a time. Sadly, they did not meet the financial buy in requirements for giving hearts day, which is sucky, but I still wanted to include them as an organization in Fargo that could use your donations if you feel it on your heart to give this GHD.

This year looks to be much more involved with more partnerships and hopefully more funding. We want to expand our meal program to include more meals as well as eventually take ownership of the food pantry as well. Our appointments are going to be structured pretty much the same as last year and hopefully with more volunteers and organizations to help out with the shopping appointments and with reorganizing the shop weekly to help keep it ready to go for the shoppers. We served 2,600+ meals last year and booked 200 appointments for shopping. We want to remain consistent but strive to improve by 15-20% in both programs.

The money, donated to Life Care Unites would be used for:
1. Signs for the building so people can find us and know we are here.
2. Expanding our meal program from 100 to 200 meals a week to be able to give food to other organizations (such as Stepping Stones that we partnered with last year) and reach other food insecure neighborhoods.
3. Buy better cooking equipment to streamline the food process.
4. Host community events (we are working with Heart N Soul at this time to have a tie dye T-shirt event in the spring/summer).
5. Being able to purchase key items for the shop that are hard to keep stocked but needed (new underwear and bras and boxer).
6. Create commercials and social media videos that bring awareness to our organization and what we do for the community.
7. Allow us to take over the lease for the building.
8. Expand to a 3rd shopping day and/or find a way to extend our hours beyond 11-4.
9. Allow us to bring our board together (we have board members in VA and TX) so they can meet the community and participate in real time in the organization.
10. Allow us to send our CEO and VP to conferences to make new connections and partnerships, learn new skills and abilities to maintain continuity of LCUF and find sponsors that can help us with a goal of expanding our organization in other states.

THANK YOU Life Care Unites Foundation for your generous donation of gifts for the young people we serve! We are always humbled by the support of the community.
We are blessed🙏.
Thanks for inviting me! I had such a great time wrapping gifts and learning about your organization and all you do for the community. Let's do it again soon and finish this season off strong 🤜🤛
Life Care Unites Foundation
When the Robinson family began the Life Care Unites Foundation, they were unaware of how big of an impact they would soon make on the place they're proud to call their community.
It's a group effort to make things like this happen for the community. Life Care Unites Foundation appreciates sponsors and donors who wish to be cheerful givers this holiday season.
Good Morning Five Below. My family and I have a charitable mission here in Fargo, ND called Life Packages for the Homeless and we are going to hand out life packages to the homeless in our area during Thanksgiving week. We are wondering if there is our any way that your company is able to donate some personal hygiene items and/or winter wear (hats/socks/gloves) to our mission. We are just trying to do our part to pay it forward to the wonderful people here that have always supported and empowered our family to succeed. We hope someone will reach out to us soon. Have a great weekend!

We are a 501(c)3 organization serving as a resource gap in the Fargo-Moorhead area providing FREE relief shopping & hot meals to those facing hardships from homelessness and the COVID pandemic.

Our Relief Shopping program opens on May 11, 2022 by referral only. Due to food costs and supply shortages Hot Meal Fridays will not be weekly at this time. We will post updates about future hot meal events. Weather and resouce permitting these programs will run until October 28, 2022.

Please donate if you can! SENDCAA is a great resource for those in need!

Show Up & Support With All Your Heart ❤,

The Neighborhood Church - Fargo amped up this afternoon with a nice low key gathering. Big shout out to Heart N' Soul Cafe for serving up sloppy joes with 2 kinda of salad, chips and a tasty 🍪 on the side. As usual, Pastor Jessica was a gracious and engaging host providing lawn games, karaoke and snow cones to those who came.

This community supports us and we support y'all right back.

Food is Life. We want to thank the Community Culinary Corps Project for their awesome spread Saturday afternoon at the Universal Unitarian Church. Their vegan and vegetarian options were delicious and filled with flavor. We also want to let people know about the small pantry section they have and want to bless others with. They are doing the most good for Fargo-Moorhead.

It was lively and fun tonight at The Arbors at McCormick Park having nachos, cupcakes and carnival games with Addie’s Spread Your Sunshine !!!! The kids came out in full force to play and hang out. We are so thankful that we got to collaborate with Addie. The goodie bags she hand-packed for the carnival game winners were colorful and spilling over with fun treats and toys.

Food is life. Food is love ❤.

It was an extremely fun time at The Arbors at McCormick Park on 7/29/22. We had a Hot Meal Friday from 3:30pm-5pm. Pulled chicken BBQ sandwiches & fruit were on the menu. A lot of the residents and folks from the surrounding communities came to hang out and enjoy food. We served 180 home cooked blessings to ensure folks got a great start to the weekend. Again, we want to thank Fargo Salvation Army for providing the chickens and being a Meal Hero for the community.

Pantry time!!!

Hello Facebook Community,

Our Executive Team is about to take medical leave for several months and our Co-Founders are going back to school in the fall. We need the help of willing and able-bodied adults who can help us part-time for the next 3 to 9 months to ensure the Relief Shop still operates for those in need while we regroup and heal. We are in immediate need of adults who are available M-F between the hours of 9am and 3pm who can help. To ensure we have enough people to rotate out and not overwhelm anyone, we need

50 adults who can give 2 but no more than 10 hours a week that can help us keep the Relief Shop fully stocked and operating for clients. There are various roles you can serve in. If you speak Sudanese, Spanish, Arabic, Nepali, Somali or Ukrainian WE ABSOLUTELY NEED YOU. You must be able to pass a background check.

A training & roundtable session will be held once we have enough people on board.

IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED please email us at [email protected] subject line : I WANT TO VOLUNTEER

Please share this post with others in the Fargo-Moorhead region. Thank you and be blessed!

Community Partner Day 2022 was a huge success! Over 200 attendees showed up and were able to sign up for resources, win amazing raffle prizes, play games and chow down on awesome food. A HUGE shout out to the lovely volunteers from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota for their can-do spirits and collective glow of altruism raising the vibration of the event. We are very appreciative that City of Moorhead, Minnesota was able to send Re-elect Chuck Hendrickson for Moorhead City Council - Ward 4 to host our afternoon raffle. The raffle was jam packed with attendees both young and old. Chuck was right up front and center calling the numbers and smiling with the winners. United Way of Cass-Clay was also very supportive. Various members from the organization were there. Ahmed Shiil was totally involved With the festivities by helping to spread the word about the raffle and engaging With guests. With an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from guests and participating organizations we are excited to announce that we will be back again next year for Community Partner Day 2023. We are honored to serve Fargo-Moorhead. Have a wonderful day everyone!!!! 🙏

Support Local Commerce ❤

Yesterday some of our Co-Founders and CEO got a chance to mingle at the Market event. It was jam-packed with vibrant merchandise and excited energy.

In particular, we'd like to give a shout out to Habibah of Nzuri Vibes who gave us a nice your of her natural healing collections. So many bath soaks, pain relief creams and natural soaks. She was quite informative about her products and was eager to tell us about her yoni cleansing items.

If you couldn't make it yesterday please come out to the Market today. Habibah and dozens of other merchants will be there ready to help you. 🙏

Participation Matters ❤

Our Co-Founders and Executive Team had a great opportunity to mingle and collaborate with members of the POC through the FMWF Chamber at a social event at Gooseberry Park, Moorhead, MN . It was very interesting to talk with people representing Fargo-Moorhead and hearing about the challenges and opportunities they see within our area. The atmosphere was chill and inviting. Everyone was cheerful and exchanging business cards. We hope to attend the next event. Events like these are ice breakers that allow people to showcase who they are and what they believe in. Networking events are a key component to strengthening the community. Please leave a comment if you were at the picnic! Be blessed🙏.
