Since opening our doors on March 9, 2020, our mission has never been simply to sell insurance. It has been to earn trust through integrity, ethical leadership, education, and advocacy while serving our clients, fellow insurance professionals, and the communities we proudly call home.

Being recognized by the Better Business Bureau, Pacific Southwest, for our commitment to ethics in the marketplace is one of the greatest honors our agency has received. We are grateful to our clients, referral partners, mentors, colleagues, and community leaders who have placed their trust in us and supported our journey.

We look forward to celebrating alongside the other outstanding finalists on September 9.

Advocacy doesn't end when we leave Washington, D.C.—it's how meaningful change begins.

In May, I had the privilege of meeting with members of the San Diego congressional delegation and their staff during NAIFA's Congressional Conference to discuss issues that directly impact insurance and financial professionals, as well as the clients we serve every day.

I'm encouraged to see continued progress on the Clarity for Compensation Act, legislation that helps protect consumers' access to trusted professional guidance while providing greater clarity surrounding compensation disclosures.

I am proud to represent San Diego as part of a nationwide effort to educate lawmakers, advocate for our profession, and ensure that individuals, families, veterans, and business owners continue to have access to knowledgeable, licensed insurance professionals.

Advocacy matters. Relationships matter. And I'm honored to be one voice among many working to protect the future of our industry.

250 years ago, a nation was founded on the ideals of freedom, courage, and service. Today, we have the privilege of carrying those ideals forward.

This Independence Day weekend, I find myself reflecting on two journeys.

The first began in 1995, when I raised my right hand and took an oath to serve our country. For 20 years in the United States Navy, I had the honor of protecting the freedoms we celebrate this weekend.

The second journey began after I retired from military service. Today, through Marc Sigmon Insurance Agency, I continue serving my community by helping individuals, families, veterans, and business owners protect what matters most.

Service has always been about people. It's about my family, my mother—whose story inspired my career—my incredible Operations Manager, Noel, my faithful service dog Kiara, and the many clients who have trusted me to help them navigate life's important decisions.

As we celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States, I'm reminded that freedom is more than something we inherit. It's something that generations of Americans have defended, preserved, and passed on.

To my fellow veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and everyone who continues serving our communities—thank you.

From my family to yours, I wish you a safe, meaningful, and Happy Independence Day.
