Afternoon World League Gang @ Del Mar.

Top ten overall today with ten athletes, including four first timers. We had some great moments and I am looking forward to see what our new white belt crop does this year! Our seasoned athletes continue to make strides, and the hard work and consistency they show in the gym comes out on the competition mats. Proud of all three of you for your hard work, attitude, coachability, and drive to improve. I saw courage and tenacity through adversity, a refusal to quit, the composure after a match to listen to coaching and successfully make corrections for the next one, and excellent sportsmanship all around. These are the attributes we promote and value in Jiu Jitsu because they translate to skills for winning in life. Back to the mats this week!

Big props to Kelly carrying the flag for Fallbrook at San Diego Open today! Tough 15 man division, went 3-2 for the day including a stellar 17 second armbar finish, his two losses coming against the overall winner and winner of the repechage bracket. No easy fights, and one win coming after nine long minutes of battle in overtime. Way to represent the squad! Shoutout to the best hype squad and coming down to support.
