[04/06/15] Hey friends! I had a wonderful time at our blood moon gathering and was happy to see some new and familiar faces. Excitement, gratitude and friendship filled the air with talks of a collaborative art work shop day in the works. I'd like to take this opportunity to open the forum as promised to generate some ideas! We spoke about planning for an upcoming Saturday....maybe around earth day? What works/does not work for you? We would like for everyone to be able to be able to participate and share this sacred space time together so speak up! Also would anyone like to lead a workshop? Comment below :) -L

What does changing the world for the better mean without taking a hard look at ourselves?
If we are to change anything from society for the better...
We need to look at ourselves too because we are not Insulated from society's influences: sexism, Transphobia, many many more. This mindset of Hatred, apathy, fear, and non consent are emotions and mind sets we as a community need to explore.

Last full moon gathering almost didn’t happen. I have to acknowledge a couple friends who said they would make it in spite of the weather who inspired me to continue hosting our gathering.
I arrived late to two friends already gathered. I was joyful to see them and thought to myself that this would be fun even it was just us three.
Eventually more friends showed up while we sat around our fire listening to music, discussing our new tie dye shirts, empathy and spirituality.
We started the evening with practice of Chi Gong to center ourselves and clear and focus our energy for the evening. While clearing our energy the moon cleared way through the clouds to join us in honoring her. After calling the direction we passed our talking stick and I prayed and gave thanks for the warm fire and the moonlight and for everyone that was able to be a part of this gathering.
Before breaking the spiritual energy built up over the course of the evening we lit incense and made a procession to visit our shrine to the ancestors. We each took turn remembering those that have passed before us in a candle lighting ceremony.
We rejoined at our fire but left quickly once more. We left to gather under the light of the full moon some earth or plants to offer to the fire. We rejoined for silent prayer and to let our fire burn our offering and carry our prayers to heavens.
Last full moon gathering almost didn’t happen but I am all the more thankful that it did.
