Following along during virtual learning is one thing, but how can you help your child connect with the teacher if they have a question or don't understand a concept? Ann Dolin offers some ways to ask for help within the virtual learning environment:

Taken from: https://ectutoring.com/how-to-ask-a-teacher-for-help-when-youre-virtual

1. Be sure to speak up when the teacher asks, “Are there any questions?”

2. Use the “raise hand” feature within the online learning platform during class

3. Put questions in the chat, using the “send privately” option if that feels more comfortable

4. Email the teacher directly after class while the question is fresh in your mind

5. Ask questions on the teacher assignment page

6. Schedule time virtually with teacher one to one during the teacher planning time

7. Ask for a recording of the class or/or a copy of the teacher’s notes.

A tutor from Educational Connections began working with my 6th grade child in September, primarily with executive function skills. Those skills are covered in each session, but now also include strengthening his academic knowledge. My child is positively responsive to the tutor's instruction. Working with Educational Connections has been a good experience.
