We may be The Quilters Studio but we sew (and teach!) a variety of projects!

Join us on May 17th and learn how to make your own London Shirt. This loose-fitting shirt has diagonal-to-the-front side seams, a swing back, three-quarter length sleeves, button closure, and stand-up or fold down collar.

The class is for intermediate sewers—you’ll need to cut the pattern out and wash and cut your fabric before class. (Not sure you’re ready? Take our Pattern Interpretation class this Thursday, May 4th!)

We’re hosting an Eclipse quilting challenge this month to align with the upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8th! If you’d like to join, here are the details:

🧵 Square quilt, minimum 12 1/2” and maximum 18 1/2”

🧵 You can use any technique you’d like, but it must be quilted and bound, with a label

🧵 Drop off your entry and register in store by 5pm on Sunday, April 7th

🧵 All entries will be displayed and voting will take place from April 8th - April 21st.

Join us for this upcoming class!

Once you’ve pieced your quilt top, hand stitching can be a beautiful way to finish it—and it’s such a charming and personal process. Let our instructor Stephanie help you with this age-old tradition.

We’ll introduce you to the right products to use, techniques and stitches to work with, and the actual process of hand quilting. We’ll also go over Trapunto, a decorative type of quilting in which a design is padded from behind and outlined to produce a raised effect

In the class, you’ll be making a small project to practice the techniques you learn. Beginners are welcome!

We set up our classroom with Janome Sergers, offering a wide variety of features on each serger. You'll be making a small project to get a chance to see what Sergers can do for you. We're back from The Enclave! Thank you to all our participants, we appreciated you joining us for our first official retreat. It was a rocky road, but it was definitely worth it! We're proud to host National Educators at The Enclave, allowing a chance to work intensively for 3 days with fantastic artists. Those of you that couldn't join us this year, keep an eye out for The Enclave next year; we look forward to having you join us.

Dinah brought in her quilt, she has incorporated some family heirlooms into it. Beautiful job!
