This lovely King Protea-inspired Bouquet is going to the Kennedy Center today with a Beautiful Bride who was blessed with a cold front and gifted a lovely summer afternoon for her wedding. Special thanks to Grace Haven Farm Va for the amazing dahlia, sweet william, zinnia, lavender, and other field flowers in this Beautiful Bride’s chosen color palette. Just breathtaking. Also, thanks to Potomac Floral Wholesale for the King Protea showstoppers and Agonis leaves.

Last weekend involved the diligent hands of 6 assistants. 67 total designs including 8 bouquets, 9 boutonnières, 3 wrist corsages, 3 flower girl crowns, 3 flower girl baskets, 3 large altar sprays, 10 pew bows with a rose, 1 sweetheart table, 32 centerpieces, and a bonus design for a Juneteenth potluck. I’m blessed beyond measure to be able to work through my art. My heart is full.

Wedding 2 Bride wanted her bouquet in all white. I emphasized a variety of textures upon request, and it really delivered. Wedding colors were that soft blue we all love, light blush, and blue and white hydrangea. The roses opened up so well, it feels like a crime to get away without petals falling off.

Wedding 1 was a lovely lavender, burgundy, white, and purple with all the shades of green - true green, sage, and gray. I’d never tried this combo before, and it turned out to be utterly enchanting.

Today’s purple orchids delivery had chocolate covered strawberries add-on. Mmm, that was hard to resist. Cameron's Coffee & Chocolates

My corsage and boutonnière went to an 8th Grade dance this evening.

Since becoming a florist almost 13 years ago, blue delphinium have become my favorite natural blue. They’re like baby orchids that burst into lisianthus!

Wedding #2 for today is done. Looooooove the views at Belmont Country Club. Subtle arch was so simple and sweet. Wonderful working with J. Renee Services LLC! I was most impressed by the wedding website that organized all the things so seamlessly.
