Discover how to turn simple-looking colorful paper strips into beautiful work of art. Use a different color of paper strips to make beautiful cards. You can make cards for valentine’s day, Mother’s Day, birthday, or any special occasion. If you want you can frame those cards and decorate your room or give them as a gift.

I am getting ready for today's and tomorrow's workshop. I suggest my students to regular paper strips for the practice and precut strips for projects, so I just shred a lot of papers 📃 . So I will not ask you to guess strips 🙂 because I also don't know 😄😄 but guess 🤷 how many 🤔 papers I shred?

So this is the project that I was working on. The diameter of this paper flower 🌸 is around 15 inches.

One of my friends is redecorating her daughter's room, and she wants to decorate the room with big paper flowers 💐 so she asked me if you can make it. So this is the first time I made this kind of big flower 🌼 so how is it?

Republic Day is the day when India marks and celebrates the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950. This replaced the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India, thus turning the nation into a republic separate from British Raj. The constitution was adopted by the Indian Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 and came into effect on 26 January 1950. 26 January was chosen as the date for Republic Day as it was on that day in 1930 when the Declaration of Indian Independence was proclaimed by the Indian ,National Congress.

For those who don't know Makar Sankranti is a Hindu observance and a festival. Usually falling on the date of January 14 or 15 annually this occasion marks the transition of the Sun from the zodiac of Sagittarius (dhanu) to Capricorn (makara). Since the Sun is has made this transition which vaguely coincides with its to moving from south to north, the festival is dedicated to the solar deity, Surya, and is observed to mark a new beginning. Many native multi-day festivals are organized on this occasion all over India.

Makar Sankranti is observed with social festivities such as colorful decorations, rural children going house to house, singing and asking for treats in some areas, melas (fairs), dances, kite flying, bonfires and feasts.

My friend Cross owns a McCabe's Printing Group. One day I met her at her printing press and saw that she had lot of scrap paper strips and unused papers. Tina know that I use any paper so she insisted me to take those strips and papers. So bought some of them at home. First I was not sure what to do but then my daughter Glowingrm and her friend came up with idea and they made these kinds of flowers. They are using these flowers to decorate their rooms.

I find my happiness😊 in creating artifacts made from paper strips. I stumbled upon paper quilling art in 2010 and converted this passion into a business in 2016.

Paper Quilling is an art form involving paper strips that are rolled, looped, curled, and otherwise manipulated to create shapes that make up designs to decorate pictures, greetings cards, and ornaments.
