If you are interested in having study abroad graduation cords (available in royal blue and green), you can pick them up at our GEO offices on the second floor of the Johnson Center anytime today or from May 10 through 13 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Mason Awarded Scholarship to Dublin City University
As part of Ireland’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration,the Mason Global Education Office recently competed in Education in Ireland’s 2021 Global Greening campus initiative which provides 16 full semester scholarships (airfare included) to 10 of Ireland’s esteemed higher education institutions. Thanks to the hard work, creativity, and competitive spirit of the GEO staff, Mason — which was in competition with over 40 other U.S. colleges and universities — was awarded one of the 16 student scholarships to be used at DCU (Dublin City University).

The university is suspending ALL outbound student international travel, effective March 6 thru May 15, 2020. This includes all spring break study abroad programs and spring semester programs that have yet to commence.
At this time, all students currently abroad on semester programs are not being asked to return and can continue their program to completion, subject to any additional increased advisories from the Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. State Department.
If you had plans to participate in a GEO spring break program in the coming week, we will be in touch with you shortly regarding next steps. A separate message regarding reimbursement will follow shortly.
