PSV encourages all our JA families to check out our community advocates, the Arthritis Foundation, and their JA camps this summer!

This program gives kids and teens with arthritis, and other related childhood rheumatic diseases, the chance to make lasting memories in a safe and secure camp environment. Campers develop confidence and self-advocacy skills to manage their arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation JA camps are medically supervised during the duration of the camp to tend to your child’s needs.

Spring is here and high school graduations are quickly approaching! That means the College Transition Program for 2022 is now open for registration. Pediatric Specialists of Virginia’s (PSV) Endocrinology team encourages all of our high school graduates, with T1DM, to join us on May 11th for an informative college preparation session.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month! According to The North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology
(NASPAG), more than half of the adolescents with severe and lasting menstrual pain may have endometriosis. NASPAG also states that Endometriosis can affect up to 10% of reproductive-age adults.
