The American Board of Dermatology (ABD) recently received approval from the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) for a new board certification in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (MDS). In October 2021, ABD diplomates had their first opportunity to take the new exam to become a board-certified Micrographic Dermatologic Surgeon. Twenty-eight U.S. Dermatology Partners surgeons took and passed the exam, and were then certified by the ABD in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery on October 8, 2021.
