More progress. Face frames installed and finished. Lower cabinets are done except for the doors and drawers. Got one drawer box built. 3 more for these two cabinets. Should be a piece of cake to make the last three now that I have the “template” for the one. Also have the big 30” drawer box done and finished. Starting to come together. I’ll have all the drawers finished this week and can start on the face frame for the tower cabinets next week.

More progress. Made the two larger tower cabinets earlier in the week. Attaching the side walnut laminate to the smaller cabinets. Also created the face frames for the smaller cabinets and the drawer. And I cut the walnut for the toe kick as well. I have to finish gluing up the face frames, make the doors and drawers, install the drawer slides. Progress all around. I need more clamps and a bigger shop!

We are starting a bathroom remodel. I decided to make my own cabinets for the job. Making progress. I still need to add the face frame, drawers and doors but we are moving slowly. Two 30” vanity cabinets. One center drawer. Also two tower cabinets with drawers on the. Bottom and cabinet up top.

Some new fun boards I made this past few weeks. End grain, maple, cherry, and walnut. End grain walnut border.

Latest build: 62” x 62” reversible gaming table. Neoprene playing surface on one side and solid white oak on the other. Entire table is white oak with Rubio Monocoat white. Recessed cup holders work on both sides of the table.

I guess I kinda fall into this category. Technology during the week, making a 6’ x 6’ gaming table on the weekend!

They built the digital world. Now they just want to sew and make chairs. Those who came up in the era of ‘move fast and break things’ are learning to slow down and make things.

I finished making a side table this weekend. Walnut and black epoxy top with full walnut legs and a shelf underneath. I think it turned out well. I am likely selling this so if you are interested, let me know. It’s about 37” long, 12” deep and sits about 33.5” tall. Perfect for behind the couch or as an entry table by your front door.

Next project - Canary wood L-shaped desk with file cabinet drawers for the wife. Not this layout, but a look at the raw wood. Lots of color and variety.

Finished up a bookshelf for a client to match the Murphy bed. Next up, another desk from Canary wood. Don’t mind the messy garage. Install will be on Tuesday.

New solid walnut desk for my daughter. Drawers made of walnut plywood and solid walnut face. Something simple, but hopefully more functional than her previous broken desk. Added a glass top to protect the wood and make it easier for stuff to slide.

Couple new Chaos end grain cutting boards completed. Pictures of the two I was able pull out of my latest batch. Way more work to do these than the others, but I think they turned out pretty cool.
