CALLING ALL EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS!!
Fairfax Presbyterian Preschool is searching for a part-time 3 day preschool teacher (with an option for 5 day employment) for the 2021-2022 school year! We are so excited to be offering in-person learning at our school this Fall, and we are looking to add an enthusiastic and compassionate early childhood teacher to our team!! If you are interested in learning more about our amazing play-to-learn program and would like to be part of our 60+ year legacy in Northern Virginia, please submit a resume and cover letter via email to our Interim Director, Jenny Minor, as soon as possible. The 2020/2021 school year was definitely one for the history books!
FPP’s amazing Lead Teachers, Mrs Carter and Mrs Crump, were able to translate our “play to learn” philosophy into an exciting and engaging virtual program.
Their home classrooms served them well, but Mrs Carter and Mrs Crump are looking forward to returning to their FPP classrooms in the Fall.

Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Crump have been working diligently to prepare take-home supply kits for FPP Distance Learning students. Kits include basic school/art supplies, literacy materials, and math manipulatives. Supply kits will be supplemented during the year as activities change and consumables are depleted.

What does "distance learning" look like for a play-based preschool? Yesterday our teachers nearly finished their prep of dozens of take-home bags full of activities and supplies! (To our parents: we'll be in touch soon about the best/safest way to get these bags to your kiddos!)

October is finally feeling like October! We are busy making all kinds of fall art.
It’s been a busy week in preschool! We made rainbows, wreathes, spider webs, wind, height charts..all kinds of cool things!!

School has started and we are ready for FUN!!

We’ve been reading some fabulous books and making amazing crafts to go with them. We are also graphing which Laura Numeroff book we like best. So far, “If You Give A Pig A Pancake” is winning! Mrs. Crump’s class made beautiful flowers while learning about how plants drink water.
That pesky leprechaun visited preschool today🧐
He messed up rooms, used our bathrooms, and left us a taunting note! At least he left some goodie bags...
Since Mother Nature can’t decide what season it is we have worked on a myriad of projects, from ice skating to lady bugs. 💕
