Hi! I’m Rudy.

I’m a handsome boy, aren’t I? I am at Fairfax Veterinary Hospital (Fairfax, Virginia) seeking a home that is able to care for my diabetes. But trust me, I’m worth it. I love love. I am very affectionate and thoroughly enjoy chin rubs and head scratches. I’ll show you my love back with head butts, purrs, and lap time.

I like to explore my surroundings, but I also like to hide if there is too much activity. Oh, and I have a special talent, I can open interior doors! I’m a cat so I don’t like closed doors! I must find a way to open them. I’d really love the chance to win you over with my charm and handsome face. Come meet me!

Just ask for Eva!! 703-591-0222 or [email protected]

Hi, I am with Town Hall.
We publish a monthly welcome Town Hall Guide that is mailed weekly to all new residents as they move into your community.
Our Welcome Guide is going to feature only one exclusive business inside each category, and I am searching for a Veterinarian in your area to fill that spot.
I would like to schedule a time when you are expecting me so that I may drop off a sample of our "Welcome Kit" and explain the program in greater detail.
Please message me or for immediate assistance, feel free to call or text me on my cell which is listed below.
Thanks.

Thanks Fairfax Veterinary Hospital! Loki loves his new Kong❤️
Last week I had one of the worst days of my life. My sweet, silly, wonderful dog of 8.5 years suddenly collapsed. I would later learn that he had a mass on his spleen and it ruptured. A tragic condition that happens suddenly and often ends in death. When it happened, I called my vet’s office and was told they could not see him for several hours, even though I told them it was an emergency! I was panicked and desperate when I pulled into the parking lot of Fairfax Veterinary Hospital in Fairfax. I was not a client, I did not have an appointment and I had not called first, but they took us right in, they were kind and patient, they explained what was happening, they were so gentle and truly cared about my dog and to me. Unfortunately, we were unable to get him into surgery before he passed but the kindness and compassion we received from Dr. Gosline and the other women there was so impressive. When we are ready for another dog, I will absolutely be taking him/her to Fairfax Veterinary Hospital in Fairfax! Thank you all so much for everything
My Vara and I thank the staff of Fairfax Veterinary Hospital for seeing us in at the last minute and for the fresh new bandana! Highly recommend for their thoughtful service, patience for her separation anxiety, and care.
Happy Anniversary Fairfax Veterinary Hospital! 🎉 Congratulations on a successful 1st year! 🥂Here is to many more!

Is it a struggle to get your pet out of the water during the summer months? If so, then this is the post for you! Let's talk about ear infections. While your pet may love the water their ears don't when not properly taken care of.

In order to protect your furry friends from infection, make sure to thoroughly dry their ears after time in the water, clean them regularly with a cleaner and cotton ball to help prevent bacteria and yeast growth, and inspect them weekly for any abnormalities.

One of our core missions here at Fairfax Veterinary Hospital is to reduce overall stress and anxiety in pets and their owners during vet visits. We offer and encourage owners to take advantage of our "Calm at the Vet" training program.

This program is tailored to improve comfort and confidence in vet visits, exams, and procedures. Classes are led by behaviorally trained team members as they focus on building tolerance and reducing anxiety associated with exam palpation, instruments, the scale, restraint, and more.

These lessons provide invaluable tools, resulting in benefits both inside and outside of the vet office. Many people notice the following improvements:

🐶 A stronger bond with their dog
🚗 Calmer car rides
🐾 A more relaxed dog
👂🏻 A dog with better active listening skills

As the summer season approaches and temperatures rise, it's crucial to prioritize the safety and well-being of your furry companions as dogs can become overheated very easily. ❤️

Here are three essential tips to ensure your pets stay protected during this time:

☀️ Before taking your dog for a walk, feel the ground with your hands. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws. Wait for cooler hours or equip them with dog booties for a comfortable stroll!

☀️ Keep an eye out for sneezing, eye rubbing, or swelling, as these can be signs of allergies in animals. Consult your veterinarian to discuss specific care for your pet's allergies.

☀️Keep them cool by keeping your pet's indoors during times of extreme heat. You can add ice to their water bowls to help with heat as well!

☀️Never leave your pet in the car in the summer, as this is the most common cause of heat exhaustion in dogs.

Did you know that periodontal disease is common in approximately 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of three? 🤯

Even if your pet's teeth appear clean, there is a good chance they are affected! Since periodontal disease is pervasive and often goes unnoticed, the best way to care for your pet's oral health is to attend routine visits with your veterinarian to monitor your pet's condition. If their condition worsens, your vet may recommend a dental prophylaxis, which includes anesthesia for a full oral exam, scaling, polishing, radiographs, and more!
