These practical arrangements of favorite Christmas carols for violin, cello and piano (with optional bass part) are sure to brighten up your next Christmas event. They are intended for student players and the piano part has been kept relatively simple. While the melody is always in the violin part, the cello doesn’t usually play the bass but instead plays a lyrical tenor part that blends with the violin. There’s also a separate cello melody part so that you can use the arrangements as cello solos. If you need a bass part, an optional bass part is included. The following parts are included with the full scores (which serve as the piano part): violin, cello, optional cello melody part and optional bass part. The arrangements are intended either as stand-alone pieces that could be used as interludes in a concert or service, or they could be used to accompany solo, choral or congregational singing. The arrangements been written in string-friendly keys and you can see some sample pages and hear some sample sound recordings at Sheet Music Plus.

The score and parts are contained in a single 64-page PDF file. These arrangements are not necessarily compatible with other Kirkpatrick collections with a similar name. This collection includes the following favorite carols: Angels We Have Heard on High (Gloria); Lo, How a Rose E’er blooming (Es ist ein Ros entsprungen); O Come, O Come Emmanuel (Veni Emmanuel); The First Noel; Ding D**g! Merrily on High (Bransle de l’Officiel); O Come All Ye Faithful (Adeste Fidelis); Hark! The Herald Angels Sing (Mendelssohn); Go Tell It on the Mountain; O Little Town of Bethlehem (St. Louis); O Holy Night (Cantique de Noël); Silent Night (Stille Nacht); Away in a Manger (Mueller); Joy to the World (Antioch); O Christmas Tree (Tannenbaum); We Three Kings (Kings of Orient); I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day (Waltham); What Child is This? (Greensleeves); God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen; Good King Wenceslas (Tempus Adest Floridum) and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

It was an honor and a joy for me to work with the students in the Maine Music Educators Assoc. All-State Orchestra this Spring. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for all the teachers who brought these wonderful young musicians together during that which has been one of the most trying times for the performing arts. This performance of my Kol Nidre arrangement brought tears to my eyes! Kol Nidre is published by www.ledorgroup.com and is available for string orchestra, string quartet and other ensembles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iK4t23HaZOQ
The second book of my series Viola Tutti is out, self-published on Amazon. Kindle. Viola Tutti; Telemann Viola Concerto Duet for Two Violas. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Viol.../dp/B095GS1HLQ/ref=sr_1_2...
I completed my second book of arrangements for viola duet featuring the Telemann Concerto in G Major arranged for two violas. It's been tested on students with great response. Look inside and listen at my website (see comments box for website address)
Sharing an awesome summer program for high school musicians!

It's a free virtual, program - meaning it's available to anyone, anywhere! Every applicant is guaranteed at least participation as an auditor (access to group classes and guest lectures w/ Noa Kageyama, Angelica Hairston, Teddy Abrams, and more), and there are still spots available for full participation at this point.

Applications close June 8! Feel free to PM me with questions!

Martha Mooke, renown electro-acoustic violist, Yamaha Leading string artist and founder of NJCU’s groundbreaking Multi-Style Strings Program. will be joined by some of the world’s leading Multi-Style String virtuosos and educators including Regina Carter, Jeremy Kittel and Dave Eggar.

The esteemed faculty will provide exclusive, in-person instruction to the participants.

This is my first book of viola duet arrangements based upon the challenging and inspiring orchestral excerpts of the great classical composers. I have been arranging for students and was inspired by them; being unable to go to orchestra sessions or rehearsals but wanting to keep practising. This is a fun way to practise excerpts and backtracks are available on Etsy or in my website. Books available in the US or UK.
