It is that time of year.

Yesterday was an eventful and emotional day.
Our resident Friesian at our other location had a colic episode. Luckily I was up in the barn when it happened. He is okay and back to his normal self, but there were some scary minutes. He has no history of colic.
This post is a reminder to all; that as the weather changes to keep a close eye on our big 4 legged friends.
✔Keep Banamine on hand in your first aid kit.
✔ make sure horses are drinking & they have access to clean water and if its freezing make sure they have access to it, or run a tank heater.
✔ have a support system in place. If you know you get overwhelmed with hard decisions make sure you have a friend that can help you through it.
✔ keep multiple vets on speed dial on your phone.
