We made one small change, looked away for a minute, and this happened. We totally bunggled these bolts, but good thing we bought extra! Make sure to factor in the height of your bolts when setting tool offsets. Thankfully the tool is fine, the collet nut looks a bit gnarly.

Taking some time today to sort through our crap - I mean, scrap, pile. Sorting and organizing every few weeks has been a game changer. It feels good to work in a clean space.

Finishing up the final operations on these 316 stainless steel parts. Just waiting on some taps that are coming today to finish it up.

We're back at it! We had a wonderful vacation with family and are ready to get back to . This is our first time milling stainless steel 316. It's been a fun learning experience where we can take our time and make adjustments as we go. It's been fun starting this week off working on a new material!

This last piece has made us go a bit crazy. I think we'll take a break from really small features. While it looks great now, the number of broken endmills is embarrassing. I think we'll be springing for the diamond tipped cutters from here on out

We took this bronze job, partially, because it's shiny. It's so fun to see the bronze go from unpolished to polished. Shout out to our UPS driver who had the carry and deliver it. It was heavy 😬

I was trying to wrap up the night, be done early with a part, all that fun stuff. Who would have thought the wear offset would not auto remove? Probably many machinists. Anyways, guess I'll be remaking that part.
