If your metal chimney appears rusty on the roof, it means corrosive, moist exhaust gases have been rotting away your chimney and potentially your heat exchanger. Carbon Monoxide shouldn't be the last lesson to learn about. We have several solutions for these problems. Let us know if we can help.

Home inspections are part of a Real Estate transaction. Typically, they shouldn't kill a sale, but sometimes, random, unqualified statements can turn into big expenses. I do furnace inspections that check the safe and reliable operation for at least a year to come. Regardless of age. Just because a furnace is 20 yrs old, doesn't demand that it has to be replaced. But, a physical check of carbon monoxide is a crucial factor! If someone tells you the furnace has to be replaced due to a cracked heat exchanger, it should have a carbon monoxide reading in the air stream to back that up.
