Wake Up SnoCo is a community media network that brings together Snohomish County activists who are interested in Activist Journalism or simply doing the work.
We are blessed with our own skillset. Wake Up SnoCo is a group of journalists, community organizers, community members, and a select amount of Accomplices and Co-Conspirators dedicated to strengthening the collective voice of Snohomish and King County citizens. This is a network put in place for community and media to become one so that big media can no longer determine what news is important to
us. Wake Up SnoCo programs and projects are developed to allow continuous support to local leaders while facilitating coalition and hosting conversations that can rebuild the bridges necessary to keep the Black community and America aligned and to break down the silos that keep the community, specifically the Black community, divided. Please remember when joining the group that although we would love for our FB group to be a safe space where we can have necessary conversations that are important to activism regarding the issues that affect Black America, that this is just Facebook. The only rules are to respect those in our network, hear each other with the intent to hold yourself accountable and that being called out does not mean being stepped on or silence. However, if anyone joins the FB group or our more private network and you do so with the intent to misuse resources, cause harm or ambulance chase, that you will be expeditiously removed.
