Our 3rd Annual Connected Lane County career fair was last November and we are gearing up for the next! Willamalane Park & Recreation even jumped in the CPR fun! Thank you PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center and Eugene Springfield Fire for teaching our county’s youth! 🫀⚡️

Last October 🎃 some of PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center ‘s stellar nurses teaching teens at Marist Catholic Marist HS and the community about cardiac arrest and heart health 🫀

Shout out to our favorite EMT Instructor Cyndy Oatley Meno for ensuring that Infinity Dog Sports has an AED ⚡️

"They are the reason I'm still here, and I'm very glad to be here. I owe my life to them."

Those are the words of Chris Ellis, who collapsed from cardiac arrest while volunteering at Row River Nature Park in Cottage Grove, OR.

Within moments, fellow volunteers began CPR. First responders arrived with an AED, and Chris was rushed to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, where the cardiac team provided the specialized care that helped save his life.

Today, Chris is continuing his recovery, grateful for every person who stepped in when he needed them most.
