Another Major Investment in Erie County EMS
The Davis Administration is investing another $170,000 in Erie County EMS, adding a new ambulance to West County Paramedics. This brings the total investment in EMS under County Executive Davis to nearly $2 million.
But this is only the first step. Right now, an ambulance is not available when needed 40% of the time in Erie County. That is unacceptable.
The 2025 budget includes a critical $2.5 million investment to strengthen EMS services, but County Council’s budget lawsuits are delaying this crucial funding and potentially costing lives. Erie County residents deserve reliable, fully funded EMS—equipped and staffed to respond in emergencies.
County Executive Davis remains committed to ensuring that when you or your loved ones need help, life-saving care is available—24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We are thankful for the opportunities to support ALL Townships and Municipalities of Erie County with Municipal Gap funds delivering the largest tax cut in Erie County history - leveraging $43M to complete projects in your neighborhoods! This letter is one of many from local leaders showing the effectiveness of the Municipal Gap Program and need for consistent infrastructure investments saving taxpayers from footing the bill with increased taxes.

The MHA plays a vital role in our community, providing essential services to those who need them most. This is an important part of my ‘Streets to Sustainability’ program designed to help people with various challenges get the help they need to improve their quality of life. Adding green spaces in our downtown enables all residents to enjoy a better quality of life.

Supporting EMS in Erie County is a Lifesaving Necessity!
Did you know that 40% of the time, when an ambulance is needed in Erie County, one isn’t immediately available—forcing delays and reliance on mutual aid from neighboring services? That’s unacceptable when every second counts in an emergency.
Thankfully, the Davis Administration has invested $2.5 million to ensure ambulances and highly trained Paramedics and EMTs are ready when you or your loved ones need them most. This funding helps:
✔️ Increase ambulance availability
✔️ Support first responders with critical resources
✔️ Reduce dangerous response delays
Supporting EMS isn’t political—it’s common sense. Our first responders work tirelessly to save lives; let’s make sure they have the tools to do their jobs effectively.

Erie County Strong: Together Through Every Storm
These last few days following the EF-2 tornado in Venango Township have reminded us once again—we live in one of the greatest communities in America.
Through record snowstorms, floods, wildfires, a school shooting, COVID, measles, and now a tornado, Erie County never backs down. Instead, we come together—neighbor helping neighbor, strangers becoming friends, and hearts uniting in service.
Out in those somber farm fields, there were no debates about budgets, protests, or politics—just good, hardworking people rolling up their sleeves to get the job done. Hundreds of volunteers and first responders gave their time, sweat, and kindness without hesitation.
THIS is what community looks like. THIS is what matters. If the true meaning of service, sacrifice, and solidarity can’t be found in moments like these, then I don’t know where else you’d find it.
To everyone who stepped up: THANK YOU. You are the heartbeat of Erie County. No matter what comes our way, we rise—together. I am incredibly proud to lead and serve this community.

A Day of Rapid Changes in County Government
Today was a whirlwind—from hosting international business visitors from the United Kingdom and India looking at major job creating investments in Erie County, to celebrating this year’s progress with the Union City Community Foundation, and ending the evening responding to an extreme wind event that devastated several properties in Greene Township.
Huge thanks to the volunteers, first responders, and Penelec crews working tirelessly to support our neighbors and restore power. The National Weather Service’s early alert system performed with great accuracy, helping keep our community safe. They’ll investigate tomorrow to determine if this was a tornado.
Most importantly—we’re thankful no lives were lost and no one was harmed.
