Tuesday’s results weren’t what we hoped for, but my heart is full of gratitude.
Thank you for your time, your energy, your contributions, and your belief in a vision of leadership rooted in transparency, service, and putting people first. This campaign was never about one person. It was about all of us who believe Erie County deserves better.
I’ve spoken with Christina Vogel, congratulated her, and offered my full support. I know she shares the commitment to making our community stronger and our leadership more accountable.
This chapter ends, but the work continues. We still need change at the top of county government. Let’s regroup, come together, and give everything we’ve got to bring the change our county deserves this November.

From the City of Erie to the City of Corry to North East to Millcreek to Edinboro and beyond, I’m running for County Executive to ensure our government delivers for people in every corner of our county and empowers its municipalities and residents to succeed.
Running to be your next county executive has been an incredible experience thus far. Tomorrow, we will choose a candidate to run in the general election, and I ask you to please consider voting for me when you head to the polls (or to drop off your mail ballot). Thank you!

I’m running for County Executive because I believe in the promise of Erie County, and I’ve spent my entire adult life working on initiatives that reflect that belief. Whether it was revitalizing neighborhoods, investing in small businesses, or expanding educational opportunities, none of it has happened alone. I’ve built strong partnerships with local leaders, organizations, and community members to get things done, and I’m honored that many of them, from elected officials to labor unions, have endorsed this campaign.
This is a campaign fueled by people who care deeply about Erie County’s future. Tomorrow is primary election day, and I’d be grateful for your vote. Let’s move Erie County forward together.

Rep. Ryan Bizzarro has spent his career in public service to our Commonwealth and to Erie County, and I’m honored to have his support. He understands how important it is for leaders at all levels to communicate and collaborate in order to deliver results.
Here's what Rep. Bizzarro has to say: “Perry Wood isn’t just a friend; he’s been a true partner in delivering for our community. In his current role, we’ve worked together to coordinate state and county efforts so families and small businesses get the support they deserve. With so much of the county’s budget tied to state and federal funding, Erie needs a leader who can hit the ground running. Perry Wood is the only candidate ready on day one to move Erie County forward.”

“My overall leadership approach is that of a public servant…You’re there to empower others to make them successful. You do that by serving them with the power that you have, the influence that you have, and the resources that you have.”

I’m proud to share our campaign has been endorsed by the PSEA - PA State Education Association, which represents the dedicated public school teachers, staff, and retirees who help shape Erie County’s future every day.
As the parent of two public school kids and a product of public education myself, I know that strong schools are the foundation of strong communities. I’ve worked to expand access to childcare and championed education through initiatives like Empower Erie, and as county executive, I will partner with educators to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

If you're interested in:
▪️not planning your next week around when you're going to go vote
▪️getting to use a specially set up voting table
▪️telling your friends that you voted before they did (healthy competition)
- then voting early at the courthouse is right for you!
The last day to request a mail-in ballot in tomorrow, May 13th, and also the last day to go to the courthouse to vote early. It's a pretty quick process, and your ballot never leaves the elections office! They're open today until 4:30pm and tomorrow 8a-4:30p!
If you already have a mail ballot, it needs to be at the courthouse by 8pm on election day (next Tuesday) so either drop it in the mail today or take it to the drop box outside the courthouse.
