🚨 TRAINING FOR THE UNTHINKABLE 🚨
Northwest Pennsylvania K9 Search and Rescue is proud to host a Light Disaster Seminar this June, led by International Police Work Dog Association (IPWDA) Master Trainer Matthew Zarrella and presented through American Patriot K9 Training LLC.
This specialized training will prepare our team for response to natural and manmade light disasters, enhancing our readiness when disaster strikes—like the extreme wind event that hit Greene Township last night.
When our communities face chaos and destruction, NWPAK9SAR is committed to being mission ready—supporting first responders with trained canine teams capable of locating the missing, navigating dangerous terrain, and helping bring order to uncertainty.
We are incredibly grateful to the Northwest Pennsylvania Emergency Response Group (NWPAERG) for making this vital training possible.
🙏 Thank you to the first responders, Penelec crews, and volunteers working around the clock to help Greene Township recover. Thanks to the National Weather Service’s early alert system, no lives were lost—a true testament to the power of preparedness.

🎉🐾 He did it! The snuggles paid off and the crowd went wild—Biscuit has officially defended his title and remains the undefeated Top Dog of the Get Lost 5K! 🏆💨

With ears flapping in the wind and paws pounding with purpose, Biscuit cruised across the finish line like the furry legend he is. Rumor has it his post-race celebration includes belly rubs, a victory nap, and maybe—just maybe—a few extra treats. 🍖💤

Three cheers for our champion—long live the King of the K9 course! 👑🐶✨

Carb loading? Pfft. Cuddle loading is the secret weapon of reigning canine champ Biscuit as he gears up for tomorrow’s big race! With snuggles locked in and tail wags calibrated, he’s ready to defend his title. Will Biscuit remain the Top Dog or will a new pup rise to the challenge? 🏆🐶 Stay tuned, race fans!

This past weekend members participated in a training with the team’s side by side, SAR2, to learn winching skills and how to maneuver around and over obstacles.

Thank you to ATV Traction for putting on the class! We had fun and learned a lot!

The team was called out last evening by the Warren County PSP for a missing person. The subject was located early this morning and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
