I get asked a lot, "What is an Emcee?" or "Why should I hire an Emcee?"

An Emcee (aka. Master of Ceremonies, Event Host, or Show Presenter) acts as the host of the event. In this role, they may introduce guests or topics to an audience, interact directly with visitors, or represent a company or brand. A good Emcee also makes sure the event stays on schedule as a whole and works to make the experience engaging for all attendees.

Why hire an EmCee? Overall, an EmCee will have a better chance on impacting your meeting than just about anything else. Hollywood award shows all have a host for a reason. The Academy Awards we remember as the best are the ones when the host was spectacular (think any year with Billy Crystal). Giving out awards is boring and, let's face it, so are most conferences. A strong personality who can serve as a strong thread that runs through the whole show is paramount to its success.
