Erie for Ukraine is excited to host a community event! We are asking the people of Erie to come out and show your support. The war is still going on and people in Ukraine are still suffering. Our goal is to use the funds collected during the event to help some of the hospitals that are still in need of assistance. We would love to see you at the bazaar!

Erie for Ukraine wanted to share with the community a way that you can help Ukrainians flee the war and come to the US.
Unite for Ukraine has made sponsorship simple and transparent. Additionally, there are government programs opened to the Ukrainians that limit the liability on sponsors. More details can be found on the application website: https://www.dhs.gov/ukraine

One of our containers filled with humanitarian aid is now in the hands of one of our contacts—Igor Fen. This container will now aid his surrounding community in Lubni, Ukraine! 👏 They are all so thankful to all who took part in this humanitarian effort! 🇺🇦🤍 If it wasn’t for our Erie community, Igor wouldn’t be able to aid those in need. So, THANK YOU to all of you who were a part of this!!! 👏

four! Good day to all!

My name is Tetiana Hatos. I am 27 years old. I have been blessed with a wonderful family with my husband, Daniel, and two children: four-year-old Alex and two-year-old Kristina.

On April 16, 2022, we came to the United States from Ukraine. We arrived through the southern border through Mexico. We spent two days at The Hub in Mexico, a volunteer-led camp filled with hundreds of refugees from Ukraine. Our journey there was filled with many trials, but in the end, we made it safely to Tijuana and were granted humanitarian parole by the United States. We are heartbroken by what is happening in Ukraine. Our parents are still over there and are unable to leave the country. Right now, we are staying with my sister, who has lived in the US for 4 years now. When we came here, I found out that I was pregnant with our third child. Our baby will be born on January 1st, 2023.

We want to work to provide for our growing family. However, we are still awaiting processing of our work authorization applications. This takes many months to complete, but we are hopeful that it will happen soon. We hope and pray that the war in Ukraine will be over soon and that we will see our loved ones once again. We thank God for bringing us safely to the USA and know that He will help us through anything that comes our way. If you would like to support Tetiana her Amazon Baby Registry:

three!!!!!
Hello everyone!
My name is Anastasia and I am 22 years old. My husband and I have a daughter Anna, we are now waiting for a son.
I want to tell a little about myself.
I came to America with my daughter on March 16, my husband was already here, he met us in Tijuana.
It was a long and difficult journey, my daughter was only 8 months old, and I did not know the language.
This was also the first time I have ever flown on a plane.
There were 4 flights altogether and other difficulties like figuring out the fight transfers. But by some miracle, we made it. We are now quietly getting used to everything.
Of course, if it were not for the war in Ukraine, then we probably wouldn’t be here now, it’s terrible that this is all because of the war.
We hope that soon it will all come to an end and living life in Ukraine will still be possible.

If you would like to support Anastasia you can find her baby registry here:

two, meet Julia! [translated]: Hello. My name is Julia.
I am 29 years old, married to a wonderful husband Andriy. After 5 months of marriage, we found out that I am with child.
On February 23 I went to the doctor to find out if everything is fine with the child, we were so excited to become parents.
But when they woke up the next morning it was February 24.
In one day my whole world changed and were told such terrible news that there was a war in Ukraine.
For a moment then I was in pure disbelief but unfortunately this horrific tragedy was true.
People started hoarding food and the essentials were in high demand- like rice, sugar, flour and pasta.
Everyone was scared and no one knew what to do.
It was all so terrifying, so much pain and so many tears... Finally we decided to go abroad in hopes of peaceful sky above our heads...
Mainly so that our child could have future... If you would like to support Julia on her journey please visit her Amazon registry: https://www.amazon.com/baby-reg/yulia-velymchanytsia-october-2022-erie/5JV35TSQOD68?ref=cm_sw_sm_r_px_MOBILE_QoygsBNqR3xCh

story [Translated]
Hello, my name is Iryna, I'm from Ukraine.
I lived in the suburbs of Kharkov until difficult times came for us.
The word war is difficult to use because it immediately brings tears to my eyes.
We are waiting for the birth of our son, and I am sure that after what he survived, our son Andrew will be a very strong man!
In early pregnancy, we all fell ill with COVID.
I thought it was the worst thing that could happen to us!
Then at the 20th week of pregnancy, the bombing of our city began. From 2/24/22 I lived in the basement, it was very scary to go outside, to go home.
We sat in that basement with the hope that this horror would end, but we had no idea what it was possible at all. After the news from friends who lived closer to the epicenter of the attack, it became clear that they would not stop anytime soon.
On day 5/6, in 15 minutes, we went up to the house, packed our things and left, all we knew was that we were going away from the explosions and horror.
Thunder and fireworks are still a horror for all of us.
I cried all the way.
Thank God we were helped by everyone, even those who did not know us.
But our hearts and souls were torn to pieces.
We left everything, but the most valuable thing with us was our two sons, and each other.
The road was very difficult and long in my condition.
To write a lot about the past is devastating, about the threat of miscarriage, about crossing the border with Poland, about another country where we knew neither the language nor where to go, like millions of Ukrainians.
But all the time, all the way, the Lord protected us!
In the second month of the war, our house was badly damaged, there is nowhere to go back yet, but there are good sides here too - thank God everyone is alive!
Now here we are, on US land, with only the most valuable things that can be- and I am sure that everything will be fine, because so far the Lord has not left us and I am sure that he will always be with us.

Recently, it has been brought to our attention that we have 4 pregnant women who have come to Erie from Ukraine. Traveling is hard enough, but traveling while being pregnant? That brings about a whole new level of stress.

We have decided to step up and start a mini project called . We need your help!
You will get to meet each of these ladies and assist them on their journey to motherhood.
Each of them have an Amazon baby registry with all their most needed items. When purchasing a gift, please remember to leave them a love note!

Thank you in advance for your generous hearts towards these women in need! 🇺🇦🤍

It is our pleasure to announce that Erie for Ukraine has reached $114,000 in monetary donations! We are in awe at the generosity that has poured in for our campaign! THANK YOU! 🤍

We wanted to share with you all one heart warming way we were able to monetarily support a baker.

The news about our campaign was passed on to a bread baker, by the name of Pavel, in Ukraine. He wanted to purchase a commercial bread machine that would allow him to make 150 loaves at once. He then would deliver fresh baked loaves to those in need.

We were able to sponsor the cost of not one but TWO commercial bread machines for this baker! We are now able to witness the work his team is doing! They mainly deliver bread to individuals in the Sunni region. Let’s keep Pavel and his team in our prayers, specifically for safety while they deliver bread throughout the region.

Once again, thank you to our amazing contributors for your generosity & for the continued support for our campaign! 🙏 🇺🇦 🤍

To date, we have been able to send a total of $50,000 to our contacts in Ukraine! 👏 Here are some photos + videos of how they’ve been aiding the Ukrainian people. People continue to come in large amounts to receive this aid. The photo of the Easter breads is from one of our contacts, Volodymyr Brychka. His group baked a total of 8,500 breads & delivered them to Ukrainian soldiers on Easter! 😭🇺🇦

If you remember—please keep these contacts in your prayers & course, for all those who have been affected by this war. 🙏
