All in a Day's Work!

My favorite part of my job is being challenged and making a difficult shoot work.

Anywhere from visual effects to live streaming to clients so they can watch what is being shot when they are far away.

Knowing the tools of my trade enables me to be this problem solver.

So recently, I did a job where we were filming in 𝗬𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺, and there was a limited amount of people allowed into the venue.

Of course, 𝗩𝗧𝗥 (𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁) was one of them. Not only did we have to get picture from cameras that were far away from where we were able to set up, but I had to stream using the internet to the clients and agency in a bus outside the stadium in a parking lot.

So jobs like this require a little planning and knowing that there is cellular internet available on both sides to get signal from inside the stadium to the bus outside the stadium.

We have different options for this, including Starlink, which we didn’t need. The bonded cellular and 𝗠𝗶𝗙𝗶 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 we own were perfect for this situation.

Now, how do I get the signal to me and also send the signal across the stadium for people to see what was being shot? I used 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹’𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗩𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 and receivers and handheld setup to make this happen. It all worked like clockwork, and I was able to get the job done.

I did have an assistant who made sure that the streamed signal at the bus was up and running. All in all, it went well, and I got to take some great pictures inside the stadium.

As always, I love sharing what I do and letting you know that no task is too small or too big for us to solve.
