Come and stay with us in my Griot home in Njaaréem, Senegal, where the roots of this culture run deep. Together, we will explore the traditional drumming of women on the calabash and the powerful songs passed down through generations. Let’s journey into the rich history of Senegal and keep alive the knowledge of our ancestors.

I am so happy to receive the West of England Arts & Music Creatives in Schools Grant.

This incredible opportunity will allow us to teach, preserve, and share the rich culture of West Africa through dance, music, singing, and storytelling across Bristol and the West of England.

From primary schools, secondary schools, collages, to universities, we’re bringing the beauty of our heritage to students of all ages.

Following feedback from the amazing young people in our Sabar Family youth bursary program, we’re expanding our workshops into both community and educational settings to meet the demand.
