Happy Thanksgiving to all my relatives and friends in and around Elma, Iowa!

Hey. Those who know Me, know I Love Animals. I Feed some Homeless Kitties. We Rescued 3 kittens. 2 of Them have come up missing. A Gal I know was going to take Them on Their Farm. 1 is black & white, We called "Boots."
The other one was a ginger colored, "Butterscotch." They are roughly 5-6 months old. Has anyone seen, picked up or let in these 2 Kitties? They have been missing for a month or so.
The 3rd one is the runt of the litter. She is petite & has eye issues We were treating. This Sweetie is Our Granbaby Aurora's kitty. She Loves Her So. We have planned to Vet Her, Spay, Declaw, Shots & bring Her indoors. Aurora can not have a kitty at Her house, so She was going to have Her kitty at Nana & PopPop's.
I offered 2 names to Aurora & She chose "Olivia." She will be heartbroken if Nana has to tell Her She disappeared. I feel so bad that I had delayed getting Her in. The 3 kitties lived in Our garage.
I recently had a surgery, so that delayed Me getting Her to the Vet. I wanted Her in before temperatures dropped.
"Olivia" is a petite gray tortious kitty. She is friendly, used to being handled.
We will SO Appreciate a Safe return of "Olivia," any knowledge of being spotted, whereabouts, necessary to bring Her home.

Employee Spotlight

Alexa grew up in Elma and currently resides outside of Cresco. She joined Reicks View Farms in 2011 and manages one of the sow units.

As a sow unit manager, Alexa is in charge of the daily operations, maintaining feed, monitoring the overall health of the pigs, and implementing plans and protocols.

In Alexa’s 11 years with RVF, she’s been given a lot of good opportunities and is proud of the friendships she has made. “This is a profession that keeps you on your toes, the company culture is unmatched.”

The Howard County Dispatch is excited to announce the implementation of the Medical Priority Dispatch System to better serve the residents of Howard County in emergency situations starting February 8.

Dispatchers will be able to provide lifesaving and safety instructions to callers and patients before responders arrive such as how to perform CPR, wound care, and many others.

Our dispatchers have completed the many hours of certification training and are now EMD (Emergency Medical Dispatch) certified.

What does this mean for Howard County Residents: Be prepared to answer a lot more questions in order to identify the problem so we can send the correct help. We may ask you to stay on the line with us longer, please remember don’t hang up till we tell you to.

With the implementation of this system, residents can have a peace of mind that when they call in an emergency a highly trained emergency dispatcher will help them.

The Elma City Clerk's office has moved! Now located in the Elma Community Complex. Please use double doors on the west side of the building and go straight down the hall.
