🖤 Sapphire & 🤍 Chata — First Training Update

It’s only been a few days.

But this is what progress actually looks like.

Sapphire arrived terrified.
Not wanting to be touched. Not sure of anything around her.

Within 48 hours…
she started taking food.
She slept through the night.
She wagged her tail.

Small things — unless you understand what they mean.

That’s a dog starting to feel safe.

Chata came in unsure too.
New place. New people. New expectations.

But she’s already starting to lean in.

She’s enjoying time outside.
Beginning to eat consistently.
Warming up to her handler.
Sleeping through the night.

She’s even starting to engage — climbing, exploring, trying.

This is the part people skip over.

Not the before. Not the after.
The middle.

Where nothing looks dramatic…
but everything is changing.

Both of these girls are in our prison training program, where structure and consistency give dogs like them a real chance to come out of survival mode.

And when they’re ready—

Their adoption fees are already covered.

We’re not rushing them.
We’re building them.

Stay with us. We’ll show you who they become.

Chupa has been making wonderful progress in training and continues to grow more confident every week.

She can now perform her commands — sit, stand, and down — from up to 15 feet away, and trainers discovered she responds especially well when toys are used as rewards.

She’s a sweet, attentive dog who enjoys gentle attention and connection with her people.

If you’re looking for a loving and loyal companion, Chupa could be the perfect match.

❤️‍🩹 Carter’s Fighting Heartworm—and Winning.

This 5-year-old Lab is currently undergoing treatment and looking for a foster-to-adopt home while he recovers. His medical care is fully covered by the rescue — all he needs is a calm place to rest, a comfy bed, and someone to keep him company.

Carter’s gentle, loyal, and perfectly content just following you from room to room. He loves other dogs, is crate trained, and fully housebroken.

He can’t chase toys right now, but he can absolutely chase your heart. 💛

🎄 Meet Ally — a 6-year-old Pom who’s basically a walking Hallmark movie.
She’s brave, curious, sweet, and has a tail that never stops wagging. After losing her owner, she’s ready to find her next forever person — someone who loves snuggles, short walks, and probably has a cozy blanket or two.

Ally’s a perfect mix of friendly and funny, great with dogs of all sizes, and would love a home where someone’s around most of the day (bonus points if you narrate her daily adventures like she’s the star of a sitcom).

💛 Potty trained, crate trained, and ready for the holidays!

🐾 Training Spotlight: Pippa 💜

Pippa’s still working hard and winning hearts in her training program! She’s learning that the world isn’t so scary — mastering her leash manners, practicing calm greetings, and figuring out that people = treats, love, and belly rubs.

Her trainers say she’s smart, sensitive, and loves routine. She’s the kind of girl who just wants to make her people proud (and then nap about it).

If you’re patient, consistent, and love a good underdog story — Pippa’s your girl. 💛
