It's Tuesday in Beijing, China and that means competition is about to start in Women's Air Rifle featuring this dynamic duo of Mindy Miles and Ali Weisz along with reigning Olympic gold medalist Ginny Thrasher. Men's Three-Position Rifle gets going as well with U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit athletes Tim Sherry and Patrick Sunderman on the line along with 2016 Olympian Lucas Kozeniesky USA. First shots get underway at 9 pm ET.

Congrats Minnesota athletes: Patrick Sunderman and Gavin Barnick!! The hard work is paying off!

Congrats Gavin Barnick, (Mora, MN) on his 3rd place finish in smallbore!!

The second place Smallbore individual, with a final score of 441.9, is Jaden Thompson from Danvers, IL. The overall individual winner and 2019 National Champion of the Smallbore Championship, with a final score of 442.0, is Morgan Kreb from Colorado Springs, CO. The third place individual in the Smallbore Championship, with a final score of 428.2, is Gavin Barnick from Mendota Heights, MN.

Great news for JR smallbore athletes in Minnesota! CMP is bringing a 3 position camp to MRC (St. Francis' Minnetonka Game and Fish) this summer from July 8-12. This camp will be coached by CMP camp counselors who are trained and supervised by CMP. The lead instructors for the camps will be former counselors, and current collegiate assistant and head coaches who have competed at the NCAA, National, and International stage. Completing the camp staff will be a group of accomplished CMP staff members and college rifle team shooters who will serve as assistant directors, gunsmiths, and camp counselors. In addition, the camp material includes contributions from speakers who have Olympic and National Team backgrounds. Registration is limited to 14 with the possible expansion to 20, depending on interest and counselor availability. Tuition is $285 for athletes, and $50 for adults. Minneapolis Rifle Club
