Want to know how to help your garden thrive this year? Here are a few tips from Plant Place to help your tomato plants in your garden!

Tip 1) Leave enough room for your tomato plants to get plenty of air circulation on all sides. Tomato plants should have 18" of open space between plants when mature, this means plant them at least 4 ft apart.

Tip 2) Use eco friendly mulch in the garden to cut down on weeding and conserve water. Straw or grass clippings work well.

Tip 3) Avoid overhead watering late in the day.

Tip 4) Feed your plants at least once a week, use a water soluble fertilizer, general purpose for all plants.
