Let me explain “WHY” I’m doing this.

I grew up poor, and I don’t say that for sympathy. I say it because it’s just real life for a lot of folks around here.

My mom raised me in a single wide in town, doing her best and working at Family Dollar to keep things going. My dad lived simple out on a mountain in Tuggle Haller, doing handyman work and getting by in a small shack on my granny’s land with spring water as our only water source. Times weren’t easy, but we made it work.

I know what it feels like to be hard up. I’ve had to choose between fixing a broken tooth or paying rent. I’ve opened bills and felt that pit in my stomach. I’ve stretched groceries and leaned on deals just to get by. I’ve even been on Medicaid before. That’s not politics, that’s just life.

And that’s why I understand what people are dealing with right now. Groceries are high, bills are high, and a lot of families are just trying to keep up.

That’s also why I’m not accepting a single dollar in campaign donations for Magistrate, District 4. I’m not taking money from you, your cousin and especially MILLIONAIRE TEXAS PACS funds, endorsements or mailers.

I don’t believe you should have to fund someone just to be represented by them.

If you want to support me, talk to your neighbors, share my message, and help spread the word.

That means more to me than money ever will.

DISTRICT 4!!! Can you help?

I’ll be happy to pick up bags and deliver. Shoot me a message!

Can you help us out?

We're down to out last few bags of Purina Dog Chow and could use a hand from our amazing community.

We do our best to keep them on a steady diet of the same food for their digestive health and though we are grateful for all donations we would love to receive the Purina Dog Chow that comes in the green bag.

You can drop it off at the shelter during normal hours or send it directly to us using the Chewy link below.

District 4 and folks who use this street.

There’s construction everywhere - and here is one more!

Thru traffic will be permitted during the weekend. The road closure is due to the City's street improvements project. Traffic is advised to follow signed detour routes.

The game is officially on, and the scoreboard is lit.

If you want real change, stronger EMS support, protected neighborhood aesthetics, and smart, responsible growth instead of reckless overdevelopment, I’d appreciate your vote this November.

I’m from the community, for the community — and I’m accepting zero monetary donations or outside assistance from out-of-state groups.

While everyone is scrolling, let me REINTRODUCE myself to the game.

MAGISTRATE meets a SOCIAL WORKER!

I’m Travis Leffew. Born and raised Kentucky. I grew up in Tuggle Hollar in a little house on the side of a literal mountain my granny owned. That’s where I learned hard work, being kind to folks, and helping your neighbors when times get tough. I’ve spent over 11 years as a social worker, I’m a small business owner, and I believe government oughta work for everybody, not just the people with money and connections.

I’m running for Magistrate because I love this community and I know we can grow the right way without losing what makes Hardin County home. I support responsible growth, protecting our green space, improving roads and infrastructure, and making practical decisions that help everybody, not just a handful of people at the top.

I also believe the hardworking people in our local government deserve better and more competitive wages. We ain’t gonna keep good workers around if we don’t value the people doing the job every single day.

I’m for everybody. Democrat, Republican, independent, young families, seniors, working folks, all of us. 🚨🚨🚨I ain’t accepting donations, endorsements, or help from out of state PACs or Texas special interest groups trying to influence our local politics!🚨🚨🚨

I’m from the community, for this community, and I’d truly appreciate your vote this November.

A little over -2- hours remain to VOTE!

Scott and I have made this a tradition for 9 years; we always get a McDonalds Coke and go vote. I’ve served Scott this entire time as his case manager and with his permission he has encouraged me to post our picture to say that limitations and accessibility are no excuse not to go vote and he is happy to do his civic duty.

Go vote, y’all!

Band saved my literal life - music, and those whom surrounded us with it. I am thrilled to help those kids experience the magic of Bands of America. I still remember doing my first BOA show, wow, gulp … 23 years ago at the RCA Dome!

I’m looking forward to watching this group grow this upcoming season. See yall at band camp!

Thanks to Travis Leffew for donating to the Band of Hawks to help our BOA Competition Registration! The Band of Hawks appreciate your support!
