Spike with his new family! He hit the jackpot!
Today as we say goodbye to 2020, I want to thank you for your patronage and support for almost 10 years. I will forever be grateful. Here's to a better 2021 filled with peace, health and love! Ahn
PS - The sleeping pup is Spike, the latest pup to crash at our house. He is prepping to party hard tonight. 😆 He has a home visit coming up soon, so paws crossed for him.
Dear Clients, Friends and Followers:
I need to share with you that D’Tails will be closing. Just like most other small businesses, 2020 brought on challenges that none of us were expecting. D’Tails weathered all of them except for one, that for the last 6 months I simply could not find a reasonable solution. Every time I thought I found an answer a roadblock was put in the way. So, after exhausting every avenue I have made the difficult decision to close. Our last day of operation will be 12-31-20. I want to stay open until then to help all our amazing clients get through their holiday grooming needs.
While I am sad sharing this, during this Thankful Season I prefer to focus on all the things I was fortunate to have accomplished with D’Tails. The life lessons over these last nine years are immeasurable. I have had the privilege to have awesome customers, many of which are more like friends. Please know that your trust in me and my company to provide the grooming needs for your beloved family member will always be something that I value! And as far as each of our four-legged friends, they all will hold apiece of my heart!
I was also fortunate to have an amazing staff who I am sure will go on to do wonderful things. I thought I would share that each are already planning their future endeavors. Edrea, new mommy to adorable Olivia, is really looking forward to being a stay at home
mom for the time being. My right-hand girl, Alesia, is planning on going to school for dog training, specifically for working breeds (she loves her German Shepherds). Kerri is opening a small grooming shop in her home and will have business cards to share with anyone who is interested. Jessie, the lover of all floof, is planning on taking advantage of not working Saturdays and spend it with her family, friends and her pups. All these ladies stood by me as we road the 2020 rollercoaster ride. I am not sure I would have gotten through these last six months without them.
As for me, I am not sure what I will be doing and that’s ok. I need to let my new reality set in for a little and then I can decide what direction I will be going. But I can tell you I have an awesome family and friends, so I have everything I need!
I want to thank all of you for being a part of this journey! For the rest of 2020 I hope to take this time to enjoy the time that I have with you and all your wonderful pups. Let’s celebrate all the things we have to be grateful for!
Congratulations Edrea! Olivia Nicole arrived at 12:53am on Nov 4th! Momma and baby are doing well!

It's been a busy first week of reopening, and we think it'll be like that for the foreseeable future. Lots of clean pups! We love what we do ❤️
We are into our first full week after reopening. After working a few days on routines and sanitation methods, we're starting to settle in. We have figured out a few things to limit human contact such as outside drop off and pick up and taking payments over the phone. We also will be wearing masks whenever interacting with clients.
Please be patient with us as we may have to take longer on some grooms because of COVID-19 hair-dos. We want to make sure all our canine friends are safe and comfortable as we work.
If you know you are on the list for an appointment and haven't received a call yet, please be patient and bare with us. We have a long list to work through. We have not forgotten you! If you're not sure if you are on the list. Please give us a call and leave a message, however, please don't expect a call back to confirm. We are receiving a large number of calls and messages a day as well as making calls to work through the list.
Thank you everyone!! Stay safe! ❤️🐾✂️🐩
We had a great first day back!! It's gonna be busy for a while! Please be patient as work through the list to make appointments. If you're not on the list yet and would like to be, please call and leave a message and we'll be sure to add you. Love you all!!
We are so excited to be reopening this Friday!! We've missed all of you and can't wait to see you and your sweet pets!
As our county moves to the yellow phase, we will still need to be very cautious and will be following several new procedures to keep both our staff and our clients safe. Bare with us as we adjust along the way to make everything run smoothly.
We will be doing curbside pickup, so please remember to wear a mask and call us when you arrive for your appointment and we will come out to you.
See you all soon!
Such a sweet truth during troubling times! ❤️🐾
So as many of us are excited to go back to work in the near future, our pups may not be so happy about it. They have gotten used to us being home with them more often that going back may be hard for them. This article has some tips to make that transition a little easier.
Fun fact: dogs that know "stay" and "come" commands have more confidence and struggle significantly less with separation anxiety.
