The unit is the last remaining ceremonial unit of its kind in the Marine Corps and travels the country demonstrating both patriotism and horsemanship to a variety of crowds.

Recruiting Station Fort Worth held its Annual Pool Function this weekend at Brewer Middle School in Fort Worth, Tx. The purpose of the Annual Pool Function is to give poolees an opportunity to experience a small taste of what the should expect at Marine Corps Recruit Training.

Comprised of over 3,000 & Sailors assigned to 9 squadrons, they provide combat forces in Overseas Contingency Operations, Theater Security Cooperation missions, Unit Deployment Program, training exercises, & daily tasking to provide operational support to the active component.

Military working dogs are trained to detect dangerous substances & attack on command. Forming a bond is essential to train the dogs to listen to their handler’s voice. A handler is expected to spend 50 hours a week with their dog to maintain the relationship.
