Great news for better pest control!

At TRIC Robotics, we're grateful to the Cal Poly Strawberry Center and their research team for trusting our autonomous UV-C platforms to support this important, peer-reviewed research.

The newly published study, "Evaluation of UV-C Light for Control of Tetranychus urticae and Eotetranychus lewisi on Strawberry," demonstrated that UV-C can play a valuable role in strawberry IPM programs by targeting mite eggs before populations explode.

Key findings for commercial growers:
• Up to 97% reduction in twospotted spider mite egg hatch in field trials.
• Up to 87% reduction in Lewis mite egg hatch, including the first published evidence of UV-C suppression of Lewis mite eggs.
• Consistent results across multiple seasons and field trials.
• UV-C was shown to be most effective as an early-season egg suppression tool that complements biological controls and miticide programs within an IPM strategy.

We're honored that both TRIC robotic platforms, EDEN and LUNA, were used in this research and thankful to the Cal Poly Strawberry Center, the California Strawberry Commission, and the researchers whose work continues to advance science-based solutions for growers.
