Men’s Mental Health Month reminds us that strength isn’t about carrying everything alone. It’s about asking for help when you need it, allowing yourself to be vulnerable, and knowing that your feelings matter.

Pride Month is a celebration of love, identity, courage, and the freedom to be your authentic self.

As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of meeting people from all walks of life, and one thing I’ve learned is that everyone has a story worth telling and a life worth celebrating. Behind every smile is a journey, and behind every portrait is a person deserving of love, support, and acceptance.

This month, check in on your friends. Listen without judgment. Celebrate people for who they are. And remember that you never have to face life’s challenges alone.

One thing I’ve been terrible about lately is sharing all of the amazing sessions I’ve had, so here’s one from April! ✨

Grace is truly one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Whether she’s making your coffee with a smile or caring for others in the hospital, her kindness shines through in everything she does.

When I told her my only availability was early in the morning, her response was simply, “How early?” So at 6 AM, we met up and headed to campus to capture this exciting season of her life. We wrapped up the session the best way possible—with a stop at Seven Brew. ☕️

I couldn’t be more excited for Grace as she begins this new adventure in the NICU. The compassion, dedication, and heart she carries will make a difference in so many lives. 🤍

At least I still have my soul.
This journey has been nothing close to what I imagined. When I was diagnosed, I knew I wanted to capture this chapter in a way that felt true to me — raw, peaceful, and honest. While this is never something anyone wants to experience, I’m grateful to still be here to tell the story. To advocate for self-awareness, early detection, and strength in the face of the unimaginable.

Breast cancer at 19 was never supposed to be part of my story, yet somehow it became one of the chapters that shaped me most.

For this creative project centered around awareness and body positivity, the tape symbolizes binding the wounds — both physical and emotional. The flowers represent regrowth, healing, and becoming again after feeling broken. The emotions are real and unfiltered. No makeup. No hiding. Just authentic, pure beauty in its most vulnerable form.
