I have to brag on one of my 8th graders. She worked on this for months. It’s Queen painted in the style of Degas. We flushed out a cool idea for juxtaposition. She rocked it. (Pun intended) to say that I am so incredibly proud of her and that I will miss her so much next year is an understatement. (Lift her up in the comments! I will share them with her!)

I will post individual pictures once I get more finished but the reverse perspective drawings by 5th grade are looking so cool!

Editing to add: I posted this video yesterday and had not logged into my account and missed tons of comments and messages. I will post tomorrow how to do this lesson so be sure to follow the page so you don’t miss out! I don’t think it will tag everyone who commented.

Today we played with spray paint! We have been tracking NASA Artemis and was inspired by them and their journey. We will be making more on Friday! I love how they all do something different but each one comes out so unique and beautiful!

I will be posting more pictures of the kids art soon! We have been doing some art history for Art madness! It’s so fun watching the kids fall in love with the artists and their work. Not to mention the amazing discussions we have had. I am not going to lie and say there aren’t some hard work days but these are the moments I will forever remember. Kids are so intelligent and can ask life changing questions when talking about art and learning about some of the challenges some artist faced.
