Mixed Media and Fine Art Photography Prints

Interior designers often talk about sightlines. They're the natural path your eye travels when you enter or move through a room.

Most people never think about this consciously, but they feel it. Art placed directly in a sightline changes a room immediately.

Placement is as intentional as the work itself.

I think "In My Room" could fit into a more private place. Where would you display it?

Inspired by the Brian Wilson song of the same name. It's basically a place where you could go for reflection and a peace of mind.

Summer evenings are longer than any other time of year. There is stretched, unhurried time to live a little more mindfully. This photograph was from an absolutely gorgeous, peaceful early June evening with a full moon rising.

"Lake Harriet Full Moon" is available now, in the online gallery.

"RE:Awaken:New Frontier" // https://shop.chipjonesstudio.com/merchandise-warehouse/art_print_products/re-awaken-new-frontier-vtjwj29xqog

"New Frontier" is a fine art print from my Mixed Media series titled "RE:Awaken". This series provides a glimpse into my recent work in abstraction, a genre I've explored in the past but now find much more instinctive, engaging and liberating than my earlier efforts with it.

"New Frontier" is a more recent piece in my "RE:Awaken" series. The title is based on the notion that I really have crossed into a new frontier in regard to my visual work. The original was created with acrylic paint, markers, pencils and other mark-making tools.

Dreamscape #3

A photo collage of a recurring dream that I have. This piece was part of a group exhibition at the MPLS Photo Center.

Black & White Abstract #030926

Black & White Abstract #030926 is a fine art print created from my abstract drawings done with charcoal, pencil, acrylic paints and pens. This piece is from an ongoing series of work created instinctively. This work is based on shapes, lines and compositions that present themselves while I create. This process requires a very spontaneous and free creative mindset that is open to change and discovery.

May tends to pull people outside, and I think that changes how we view our interiors when we come back inside.

What about you? Does spending more time outside in warmer months give you the itch to rearrange you interiors?

With Memorial Day right around the corner, I thought I'd highlight my photograph titled "Civil War Band" today. This was photographed and then adjusted digitally by hand (there is ZERO AI involved in ANY of my work).

I'm genuinely curious, what will you be moving around inside this spring? Will you be changing the artwork you show off?

Today is Mother's Day. To every mother, grandmother, godmother, fur-baby mom, chosen-family matriarch, today is all about you.

Here is a question I think about often: Does art change your mood, or does it reflect it?

When I look at Badlands National Park, I notice it does something different depending on the day.

Tell me below. Does your view change the art, or does the art change you?

Paper prints are among the most popular. The format has been the standard for fine art reproduction for a long time because it works.

Good paper, careful printing, and the right size for the right wall. "Edina Collage #2" is available as a paper print in several sizes, and it is one of the more accessible ways to bring this work home.

My personal suggestion for this print is to select the Fine Art Photo Paper option. This will produce a high quality smooth matte finish on an archival quality acid free paper print on 100% cotton. The best mounting for this would be on 3/16" Gatorfoam w/ Mount Block, but you can always get it matted and/or framed, if that's the look you prefer instead.
