Sometimes rejection hits hard - I was hoping to get a spot with a market and did everything right but maybe the year of the snake was telling me I had more to shed because after an immediate rejection to current events (due to other similar vendors), the year of the Fire Horse brought her sending me an early application for 2026 markets.

So I continue to create and build my variety of soaps, and anxiously wait to get a market date since my magnesium tallow cream is loved by even the most finicky of sleepers who love to wake up with baby soft feet.

Yesterday's major project (in addition to two batches of soap) - labeling sugar scrubs!!

No, the snow didn't kill me, but the chokehold this new scent has me in might!!

Introducing... Cashmere and Peppermint. Its soooo good! I had planned on the colors being blue, white and brown, but it looks like the brown wanted to be black in this batch. 🙈

Meanwhile, rolling out the new labels and getting them on all the soaps!!

When your Mother (Nature) tells you to stay home and make things... you listen!

Previously I had made a soap I nicknamed "ugly duckling" hoping that it would lighten over curing time. It did not. Last night I made the same formulation and kept my temperatures colder and now have a prettier lavender Tallow goats milk bar. :)

In the process though, I had a batch that seized (apparently I dont always make perfection)... and we did some life saving measures (including adding some additional butters, which means I will never be able to duplicate this recipe). She looks very pretty, but is unscented, uncolored, and should be very conditioning.

New containers are arriving today and tomorrow, so finally was able to move some things from jars to permanent homes!! Foaming sugar scrub and normal (emulsified) sugar scrub are in their plastic containers (safe for the shower). Still waiting for the bigger size to arrive tomorrow!

Whipped tallow (unscented) moved into its glass jars - the fluffiness is so fluffy that 3oz are fitting in 4oz jars!! 😲

Meanwhile, last night I was asked where to find the beard products I had given out over Christmas... while working through rebranding and relaunch I did take my Etsy out of commission, which I guess will be coming back sooner than anticipated along with the listing for these beard wash bars (and my other beard products)!

Another day another soap?!

It may seem like we are making so much soap right now but there's a good reason for it! We use a bunch of water when making soaps, and it takes time for all that water to evaporate out and let the soap "cure" into a harder bar. So while we *can* use our soaps immediately, letting them sit for a few weeks will give a harder bar with even more bubbles than one that was just made.

All of the soaps being made the past couple weeks are going to be ready for a market event in February! ❤️ ...and behind the scenes, we continue to work on other products which dont need as much lead time.
